Bob Violette, 76, was a youth bowling coach. He died trying to protect the children in his care.
He was described by family as a doting husband and a grandfather who cherished his weekly bowling nights with his grandchildren.
Joshua Seal, 36, worked as a Director of Interpreting Services. He was a husband, a father of four and an advocate for the Deaf community. He was committed to creating safe space for Deaf people and was widely known as the ASL interpreter for Dr. Shah’s pandemic briefings.

Sgt. Jewel Scott, who is stationed in Fort Hood army base in Killeen, Texas, has been posting videos saying she believes her life is in danger. After voicing her concerns of issues at the base, they had her arrested and hospitalized.

This is Ruth Whitfield, 86. Her son, the former Buffalo Fire Commissioner, said she was on her way from visiting her husband in a nursing home and stopped at the store to get something to eat.
Aaron Salter Jr. was identified by his son, Aaron Salter III, as the beloved Tops Friendly Markets security guard and former Buffalo cop who tried to stop the shooter.
Salter, who joined the Buffalo Police Department right out of high school, leaves behind three children.
Pearl Young, 77, was a mother, grandmother, and key member of her church. For 25 years she fed those in need in the city’s Central Park neighborhood.
