Peter Obi talking about the reason he decided to get involved in politics. Watch these videos & listen to this man closely. There's no Nigerian politician who has held public office in the past, that'll inspire this much hope of a better country in you.
Dickson, you're my buddy, & I've tried so hard to ignore a lot of things you've been writing about Peter Obi; but posterity will not be kind to me if I don't weigh in at this point, cos at this point, I can't tell if this is you being on an intentional campaign to make Peter Obi
appear like a hypocrite, or you truly believe the things you say.
First of all, let me make it clear to you that the moment Peter Obi engages in such politics, the same lot of you would trumpet the slogan that he isn't different after all.
I've stated time & again, that when
it comes to certain political conversations, please stay away from things that you do not understand.
Peter Obi is a man who was comfortably a billionaire at 40, & was practically pushed into politics because Anambra state needed a man to pull us out of the quagmire a PDP
Hello my fellow Obidients. I'm here to speak clarity to you.
Let me, first of all, start by appreciating all the hard work that we have all put in over the past one month+ since @PeterObi declared his intentions to run for the office of the president.
We have since galvanised & sustained our very clear call, making it clear that this is the man that we put our hope, faith, & trust in, wholeheartedly.
Not a single soul has been paid a dime to campaign for him. We have all done this, because we have truly suffered over the
past 7 years, & decided to take up this clarion call, to rescue our country from the hands of zealots & power mongers.
Over the past 2 months since he declared, no candidate has been scrutinised a quarter as much as @PeterObi has been.
Do you know why @PeterObi is being fought from within the PDP also? It is because the fight is deeply institutional. Peter Obi represents an existential threat to a class of politicians, who thrive on the gullibility & poverty of the ordinary Nigerian.
Their biggest fear, is
that if Peter Obi spends 8 years as president, & opens the eyes of the people to what it means to be truly served & put first in every decision making, it'd effectively signal the end of a political era. Sadly, this type of politicians exist in both parties.
Peter Obi has exhibited the highest level of decorum through this whole thing so far.
He hasn't thrown mud at anyone
He stayed off visiting Adamawa out of deference for Atiku.
Yet, Wike came to Anambra state to disparage him in front of the delegates.
Instead of Atiku boys to focus on selling their candidate, they instead turn to trying to demarket Obi
Instead of Saraki boys to focus on selling their candidate, they turn to trying to demarket Obi.
When they then encounter fierce pushback from the teeming number of very
vocal people who are tired of the same old politics of calumny, they resort to trying to gaslight you with "Peter Obi supporters are this, Peter Obi supporters are that"
Why is his fiercest opposition coming from within his party?
Because I'm a medical doctor, on ground & practicing in Anambra state at the time this happened, let me take my time to school you, even though I know you're just trying to be mischievous.
structure for Drs working at Federal institutions. The Fed Govt also pled with state governors to adopt same.
Now, Peter Obi, after taking over from Ngige, met a messed up state civil service, riddled with backlogs of owed salaries & allowances.
Now, this backlog was from the
gross mismanagement of state funds by Mbadinuju during his time as governor (Mostly because the state was milked by Chris Uba who was his godfather at the time).
Ngige came in & went to work trying to clear some of the backlogs.
Any political party or candidate that still associates itself heavily with Mr. Chris Uba, a.k.a Eselu uga, is doomed @OfficialPDPNig This is a man who blatantly & boastfully rigged Ngige into power in 2003, stealing Peter Obi's mandate, which Obi later reclaimed in court.
This is a man who Ngige was quoted as saying that he should pay him the sum of 3 billion Naira immediately after swearing in, from the state's coffers.
A man who is alleged to be behind the kidnap of a sitting governor in Anambra state, just because he reneged on the scandalous
agreement they both had before he rigged a governorship election for him.
This man is the reason till date, any governorship candidate being fronted by a supposed political bigwig in Anambra state, is outrightly rejected, because the widespread violence that the actions of
