The National Institute of Teaching @NatInstTeaching will open in September, be truly school-led and be the first of its kind in England. It will be the country’s flagship teacher and leader training and development provider #trainteachlead 1/7

It will boost teacher and leader development up and down the country by using its own cutting-edge research on best practice to inform the design and delivery of its high-quality professional development programmes #researchled 2/7

We already have great teachers and leaders – @NatInstTeaching’s work will further raise teaching quality to benefit children and young people across England 3/7

.@NatInstTeaching will be led by the School-Led Development Trust, a consortium of four of the country’s leading academy trusts: @HarrisFed, @OGATrust, @OasisAcademies and @StarAcademies. The SLDT has been appointed to lead the NIOT by @educationgovuk 4/7

Together, these trusts have a strong track record of nurturing the talents of teachers & leaders in their schools 5/7

Further partnerships with a network of very strong school trusts, or Associate Colleges, will ensure that the NIoT has the scale to reach teachers and leaders up and down the country - while we are also supported by a range of brilliant partners beyond the Associate Colleges 6/7
