My husband just got back from dropping our kids off at school.
He walked into the living room, burst into tears, & SCREAMED that one of the little girls in #Uvalde had to smear her dead classmate’s blood on her face to make the killer think she was dead too.
My husband doesn’t use Twitter, so he asked me to write this.
He asks all politicians to show up at work from now until legislation is passed with red paint smeared on their faces to represent empathy for the survivors & the consequences of unfettered gun access. #WearTheBlood
If you care about what happened in Uvalde, #WearIt to remember to act on gun safety laws. #WearIt so 10-year-olds don’t have to.
I can't stop thinking about the parents who were corralled by law enforcement & told "we're taking care of it," & then found out their child was dead. Appears LE was primarily tasked with creating a barrier between parents & their children. It cannot be as bad as it looks.
The shooter wasn't "pinned in." He was right where he wanted to be, barricaded in a classroom with 10-year-olds. If anything, it looks like he was GIVEN plenty of time in there. FFS, why did they need a KEY to open the door?
I don't know why it made it feel so much worse that all of the kids killed were in that one class. It's like it takes away all HOPE that maybe your child will be the one who's spared.
I’ve been on a decluttering jag w/ the help of The Minimal Mom—a YouTuber in MN.
I don’t know if we’d be friends (maskless at Dollar Tree last week—why??), but her decluttering advice has been invaluable to me, and I am grateful to her.
This thread will be my daily success!

Each day, I have a little over an hour between my husband taking the kids to school & when I need to be at my desk for work.
For some stupid reason, I only like to clean/declutter while no one else is home—not the greatest preference during a pandemic.
