This particular Apple-1 was most likely the first Apple computer used outside of Norther America. It is listed on the @Apple1Registry as #89 “Schlumberger 2” after it’s first owner, an executive at oil services company Schlumberger in the late 1970’s who lived in Europe.

It has been carefully restored to be almost exactly as it was when it left the garage of Steve Jobs’ family home, and the computer is fully operational. It has been evaluated by experts, including its creator and Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak who signed its iconic 6502 CPU.

In the video from the previous tweet you can hear the marvelous sound of the extremely rare @cherry keyboard paired with this Apple-1. It is one of the earliest designs of the world’s most iconic keyboard brand, yet it performs and sounds as good as it did when it was new.

We’re working closely with the Collectibles team at @eBay to make this auction an amazing experience for all involved. They have a dedicated team to monitor the auction and support bidders. The auction will be a global event open to eBay members in nearly 180 countries.
