Paris.

It’s not all Eiffel Tower, sightseeing and as romantic as they’d like you to believe. It’s stinking and very Edgy. We spoke to a local who said ‘ you haven’t been to Paris if you haven’t been pickpocketed’ words that rang very true.
We experienced this 1st hand…
9 of us made our way from the LFC fan park Boss event at around 5pm, we’d spent a couple of hours there and had a great craic, but couldn’t get anywhere near to see the stage or hear the music, there must’ve been over 100k people, it was just a massive Sea of Red. We travelled…
By train to Stade de France and this is where our nightmare began, we had an attempted robbery on 1 of our mates pockets, we caught the rat emptied his belongings but they are so sharp he’d passed on anything he’d stolen, these bastards work in gangs and anywhere where there’s…
a crowd is their prime hunting ground. During this a fracas broke out a few punches were exchanged as more local youths (16-25) joined in. We got off to discover 2 of our group been dipped, 1
Losing everything ( match ticket and passport included ) the other lost his wallet…
With €80 cash and some cards. The walk to the stadium wasn’t a pleasant walk and bear in mind this is over 3 hours before KO. As we walked groups of locals were more and more visible hunting in packs picking and choosing their targets. Most of these were of African origin…
And easier to spot in daylight. We didn’t have any issues entering the stadium as we were in early over 2 and half hours before KO, but even after the initial pen check on our ticket that area wasn’t safe, there was a horrible feel to it like we needed to be constantly on guard..
We were lucky not to be locked out and tear gassed, I’m sure there was people buying souvenirs, food and drink who arrived the same time as us got caught up and locked out. The scenes were horrendous and at 9pm I left my seat to witness all the chaos outside, the way those fans
Who btw behaved impeccably were treated was disgraceful and questions need to be answered by UEFA. How can the French police get away with tear gas and penning people in in 2022 is horrendous behaviour. The delayed KO lays on UEFA’s shoulders and nobody else’s. After the match..
again the treatment of supporters was horrendous and it felt like the closing of exits was a master plan to make us all walk through pitch black underpasses where gangs where waiting like packs of wolves to attack us. 1 of our group an 18 yr old female was targeted, she was shook
up but luckily wasn’t injured or robbed as 1 of the lads quickly stepped in. We all luckily got away safe and managed to flag Taxi’s to take us back away from that hellhole St Denis.

Paris got the Olympics in 2024, god help all the visitors I would never award that city with..
