Made a transcript with rough timestamps of Vox addressing the situation regarding Reimu and his fans. It's mainly for reference. I have mixed feelings on it.

I guess now that I’ve brought it up, I should say something. And I was nervous to do something because I did not want to give poor Reimu any more grief than she has already had. She is one of my best friends. She’s been really lovely to me.

Has spent a bunch of time helping me out when I’ve been down and has also spent a bunch of time collabing with me. She’s my friend! She’s my friend. And it breaks my fucking heart to see any of you going and giving her any kind of grief whatsoever.

So here’s the clarification, right. I do agree with some kindred that I think that it was a poor choice to try and message me during the stream. Normally this would be completely fine, but ASMR streams are kind of a different thing.

I’m trying to play a character, trying to act, and it was a little distracting. And so when she did that, I don’t think it was at all her fault because I never told her directly, “Don’t do that.” That wasn’t her fault and normally it would be okay.

I could see why some people were a little peeved by it. And you know, I was a little peeved by it as well. And there were some people who brought that up in a really normal and respectful manner and they said “Oh it wasn’t really good on this one…”

But I also don’t blame her for that because she just didn’t know. She just didn’t know.

That’s where the discussion should have begun and ended. She didn’t know and it really wasn’t that big of a deal. And I turned it into something really funny on the stream. I turned it into something hilarious and you should’ve been like “Oh haha!” and then moved on.

But some people clearly didn’t, and it really fucking pissed me off to see the amount of people who was somehow thinking that by sending death threats to Reimu that they were impressing me. That they were somehow like, “Oh yes, I’m gonna stick up for Milord and do what’s right.”

No! No, you’re not doing a good thing. And you’re not sticking up for me.

First of all, I’m insulted by the fact that you don’t think I could stick up for my fucking self. I’m insulted by the fact that you feel the need to attack somebody on my behalf. And moreover, don’t send death threats to my fucking friends.

You shouldn’t harass anybody in any way, shape, or form. But moreover, I’m going to take personal issue with it if you do that to anyone that I care about even remotely... Just don’t fucking do it at all.

And this may surprise some of you, but I would also like to criticize the people who have been engaging in discourse around this subject because you are only making these trolls more powerful.

Generally, when it comes to online drama/discourse/controversy, it is perpetuated by discussion. And yes, in some instances, it can be good to discuss these issues. But when you talk about it, it’s only going to make these people more powerful.

Here I am. Listen, I already feel like I’ve done the wrong thing and it’s why it took me so long to say anything. Because I’m being so reluctant to address these issues because I know I’m making these people more powerful.

It is getting more traction because YOU are giving it attention. Stop. I know it’s fun in a twisted way to engage in drama and to argue with people, but it does not help. It actively hurts me. If you want to help, don’t do fucking anything at all, alright? End of story.

Just be sensible. It pisses me off when people treat online drama like it’s some kind of a great war. It’s not that deep. It’s not that fucking deep. Touch some fucking grass. Go outside.

Remember what I say: You’re welcome to treat this stream any way that you like as long as you find something in real life that’s just as important. Because to be honest, I think a lot of you are taking this way too fucking seriously.

There are a lot of things we can do to solve this situation and it begins with not just being good, and it begins with not doing all of those terrible things you know you shouldn’t do, but it also begins with just letting this active discussion die.

As soon as these people stop getting talked about and stop getting attention, they will stop. And the end result is that no more of my friends get harassed. And that seems like a pretty clear win to me.

So yes, in conclusion—I shouldn’t have to say this but I will—don’t send death threats to anybody, least of all my friends. Second of all, don’t bring drama up in my chat and then start complaining when you get timed out because it’s against the fucking rules.

And last of all, if someone sends something dumb online, just ignore them. The more you interact with them, the more power they have.

Are we in agreement? Wholesome group hug? Absolutely, because I still love you guys to absolute death and back and I wouldn’t trade you for the world. No amount of random controversy is going to make me change the way I feel about you.

Everyone has a bigger part to play in these issues than I think they really ever realize. And it does annoy me tremendously when people think that by treating everything as a straight “yes” or “no,” or “I’m good” or “you’re bad,” that you’re actually solving anything.

Because you’re making it worse. You really are making it worse if you treat this like your opportunity. Because that’s exactly what the trolls are doing. They’re seeing it as their opportunity to be the good guy and to be important for once. That’s all it is.

It does really piss me off because it’s a load of just aggressive yelling at people who have done something that isn’t even MY FAULT. Let’s be honest, right? I didn’t do fucking anything yesterday! I did my ASMR stream and I responded to a random occurrence in a funny way.

I often get scared of addressing issues because we, as entertainers, are made by our fans. We are given value by our fans. So it would make sense that I should have a little bit of hesitation when it comes to yelling at and cussing out my fans for doing something wrong.

I owe everything to you guys, so why wouldn’t I be scared when I’m trying to tell you off? I don’t want to say something wrong and suddenly lose you all.

But I think over time—now that I’ve had to do this quite a few times because we seem to be at the core of a lot of these issues—I think that what it really does is it makes you all respect me. And you should.

Yeah, god, it’s fucking frustrating. People have just started scapegoating on kindreds as a whole. One or two bad apples have done a couple of things and suddenly it gives everybody a bad name when I know all of you are fucking amazing.

So I think based on that, for the time being, even if another issues arises, I think this is the last time I will be seriously addressing any kind of controversy live on stream. Because first of all, like I said I do not want this to become a place where there is always-

a new issue every single week. And I can’t believe it was only the last three weeks we’ve had 3 separate streams where I needed to say something. That’s fucking unacceptable. Even if something else happens, you’ve heard my statement on it.
