Obi-Wan Kenobi (2022): A space yacht, as the Undisputed Victor visible on Cantonica in The Last Jedi (2018). #ObiWanKenobi
I still don't know who's the designer.
Maybe Julien Gauthier, but I'm not sure.
Art by Julien for The Last Jedi:
I like that the ships circulating around Alderaan are clearly owned by the elite, not suffering (yet), or even benefiting from the rise of the Empire.
We're not on Tatooine, for sure.
Costly and sleek ships from another era. #ObiWanKenobi
Presented in December 2019, this design is the result of a collaboration between Lucasfilm and Porsche. Doug Chiang, @artbyabc and @rchurchdesign , on the Lucasfilm side, participated in its creation. #ObiWanKenobi
@artbyabc@rchurchdesign So it's the rare case where I have the concept art years before the broadcast lol
You want to see inside the cockpit? Here we are.
@artbyabc@rchurchdesign With every new episode of anything Star Wars, I waited to see if this ship would finally be introduced.
They promise the best launch sequence in video game history so I'm very curious ;)
Deliver Us Mars | Dev Diary #1 - Journey To The Red Planet
"Experience a hand-crafted narrative adventure, with a full motion-capture cast, new and improved mechanics, and a brand new traversal system." @DeliverUsMars
You love scifi? Cyberpunk? Life on a space station?
Don't miss Citizen Sleeper. It's a visual novel, well written and well illustrated. And it's also a board game, where you have to use dice to perform actions.
Characters to meet. And go from surviving to living in a new world.
This Star Trek Picard season 2 finale was poignant in more ways than one. And opens several narrative tracks that I can't wait to explore.
The ships were the icing on the Qake.
I wasn't necessarily convinced by everything that happened, especially in the middle of the season, but there was a lot of love in this story beyond space and time.
I already guess the next -the last- one will make me cry a lot lol
I don't remember how I had guessed the identity of the Borg Queen from the first episode, but it makes me laugh that my wife has the same name.
[Thread] An oral history of The Matrix: The Nebuchadnezzar
I invite you to take a look behind the scenes of the art department of the Matrix series. It has been analyzed all over the place, but the point here is to understand how the future of the "real" world was designed.
.@georgehullcom : "Tani Kunitake is the artist that originally defined the look of the Matrix ships and he deserves tremendous credit for his originality."
Tani Kunitake: "On the original Matrix, I designed the Neb. I came up with the external push pull engine system as it was described as a hovercraft."
