As of 31 May, 243 children killed&436 injured since beginning of the war. Figures Likely higher as do not include casualties in areas of hostilities & occupied regions.

As of today, 🇺🇦's Day for the Protection of Children, the 🇺🇦PG's Office says 🇷🇺attacks killed at least 243 children, injured 446 since the beginning of the all-out war

"These figures aren't final" as the Office can't establish casualties in the war zone & occupied territories

5-year-old Maryna from Kherson Oblast lost her leg when a Russian shell hit the roof of their home

8 people were hiding in the house at the moment, Maryna's mother was also wounded.

She established The “Mama Ira” Foundation in memory of her mother who was killed by Russian troops in Bucha. Now it helps Ukrainian children who lost their parents in Russia’s war against Ukraine

5-yo Maryna was a lively girl: played soccer with the boys, zoomed around on a scooter.

Now she is learning to live w/o a leg. Russian mortar shelling destroyed not only her home in Kherson Obl but also her great dream to become a racer
