Gerald Darmanin, the French interior minister, is currently lying to the Senate about the events of the #UCLFinal.
Darmanin claims the only incident post-match was a restaurant being destroyed by drunk fans. This is an outright lie on multiple levels.
Darmanin has lied about all tickets being being digital before the final. Simply and utterly not true. An outright lie. One of many.
Darmanin acknowledges the issues with the train strike, but fails to explain why nothing was done to pro-actively deal with that, or communicate that RER B was actually in use.
Darmanin claims he will send French police to Madrid, Liverpool and London to collect evidence from supporters.
Darmanin, still pushing the fake tickets narrative, claims fake tickets were stopped at first check point.

This is wrong as evidence shows the first check point was abandoned around 7pm.
Worth noting that Darmanin has now spoken of "hundreds of fake tickets" - which is a lot less than his original claim of 30,000 to 40,000. Utter lies.
Darmanin:

"It's evident that things could have been better organised. Did we avoid the worst? Yes. Could we have been better organised? Yes."

Apparently nobody dying makes it all okay. No apology offered.
Darmanin claims Liverpool FC "insisted" on paper tickets.

This, no doubt, will receive an extremely swift response from Liverpool FC.
French TV now explaining how Darmanin has been cleared of two sexual assaults recently. Sounds like a typical politician.

🎟🤨 "Between 30,000 and 40,000" fans with fake tickets? It's literally impossible. thisisanfield.com/2022/05/paris-…
1. This would mean turnstiles would have been required to process around 5,555 tickets per hour.

That's impossible.
2. If those numbers got to the turnstiles: HOW?

Nobody without a ticket, or with a fake ticket, should have got near a turnstile. They should have been stopped at the first perimeter check.

🎙🗣 Klopp's pre-Southampton press conference is coming up at 1.30pm.

Hopefully we've had enough questions on the FA Cup replay...
Klopp on possible transfers today: "Incoming, nothing. Outgoing, nothing that I heard about - but that does not mean it cannot happen. You can calm down and have a nice evening."
🇪🇬 Klopp on Salah going to the Olympics: "No decision made yet, from neither side. I wish that we could have the whole squad for the pre-season, which is not possible for different reasons - the Euros, Copa America, Olympic Games. Not so cool, but so far no decision."
