#Vikram was an absolute delight to fans - not just of the stars, but of cinema and filmmaking in general. It was the classic example of where star-studded commercial cinema meets definitive story without heavy compromise on either side.
@Dir_Lokesh nt only made us all lose our shit by littering the entire movie with edge of the seat delightful twists, he's also the only director who audaciously made us prepare the night before & the collective excitement to do it imdtly already meant Loki had succeeded! 🙏🏾
#Vikram was pure adrenaline filled enjoyable theatre watch! The stunts, camera work and BGM were stellar. The screenplay did seem to slow down in places, but it never got boring. The violence seemed unnecessarily heavy to the extent of showing off in many places.
But I'm willing to forgive the careful compromise he seemed to have made on logic at some places just coz the entire experience was so fulfilling.
It was pure pleasure watching aandavar @ikamalhaasan in all his glory on screen. Fahadh absolutely stole the show, what an actor.
I love how Loki gives ample enjoyable screen space to supporting actors too which reaffirms my faith in his vision and style.
Don't go to the theatre watching another Kaithi. This is another chapter in the glorious Loki cinematic universe!
Taking on multi starrers can be a double edged sword, and even veteran directors have failed miserably in it. I'm amazed how @Dir_Lokesh does it just in his 4th venture and man, he does it in style!
For those who don't have time to revisit Kaithi, here is ur bittu paper 😂
-Bejoy (Naren) is part of the Spl task force that unearths Rs. 840 cr worth cocaine which have this symbol (which we saw on #Vikram trailer)
-This belongs to gangster Anbu (Arjun Das) & Adaikalam
-Dilli (Karthi) a convict released after 10 yrs helps Bejoy & policemen who got drugged by Anbu to kill those who captured his drug consignment
-Dilli was on his way to meet his daughter Amudha after 10 yrs
-Ajas (Kanna ravi) is the undercover police informer in Anbu's gang
Stay tuned for any more updates as I continue watching in fast forward 😂
Btw rewatching #Kaithi is awesome. What an air tight screenplay, kept me at edge of my seat.
Would be immensely satisfied if #Vikram as as good as this one!
