If you wanna make sure the composition & color scheme work, (maybe you've got multiple versions and can't decide which is best), it helps to turn the piece upside down ๐
This way it becomes more abstract and your brain perceives it differently... 1/3
...making it easier to focus on the composition/color harmony rather than the subject.
The composition should be balanced and work from any angle.
Of course, occasionally flipping the image horizontally when working is also a must, 2/3
...this however doesn't abstractize the image and only ensures the left-right balance, your brain still focuses on the subject.
Any means to trick your brain to view the image with a fresh perspective is great and we should always try to do that before we finish a piece!
3/3
P.S. It seems Twitter doesn't like flipped images, it flipped it back up twice, sorry for deleting my previous tweets but I needed the image upside down to make a point and Twitter wouldn't let me ๐

People tend to be 100% positive or 100% negative about #NFTs so let's have a conversation.
1/๐งต
I'm not going to talk about PFPs and collectibles because that's not my area of expertise. I'm a digital artist and these are my opinions as someone who's worked as a professional artist for various studios for the past decade.
2/
I can't express how mind-blowing this is to me.
Digital art, if not part of a larger product like advertising or the entertainment industry, was worthless until now.

1/15 ๐งต How To Make It as an #NFTartist
A guide for artists starting out ๐
2/15 Create quality art.
It might not always seem this way but the better your art is, the more people will like it.
Practice and improve your artistic skills alongside everything else. This is your no.1 priority.
3/15 I know low effort art sometimes sells in this space but that's the exception not the rule. If you want to be successful your best chance is to create good art. Even if you suck at promoting it, I believe you will be successful in the long run if you create quality work.
1/๐งต How to market yourself.
The basics. A guide for new #NFTartists
This is the first thread of a series I plan to post, going from the basics to the more complex aspects of marketing.
2/ Twitter bio & pictures.
Extremely important!
When someone visits your profile you've got ~3 seconds to convince them to give you a follow. Make it clear who you are and what you do.
3/ A picture of yourself will make you more relatable. People like being able to put a face on your name and know who they're talking to. If you wanna stay anonymous your art works too.
1/ My year in #NFTs. What I've learned. ๐ค
A thread ๐งต
I want to share with you my journey, the good, the bad and the incredible. Hope it will inspire you and convince you to keep going even when times are rough.
2/ I first heard about #NFTs in January and sold my first piece in March. I went from being a nobody to feeling that I matter and it's all because of this amazing community.
3/ It's sad to see that outsiders think #NFTs are sexist, empty, hateful or a scam. I've met the kindest, most generous people here - people that have supported and believed in me even though they had just met me and had no interest to do so.
