On the morning of Jan. 30, 2019, Const. Jonathan Wilde came calling at Louisa Dorion's home without a warning or knock.

Dorion says half a dozen members broke through the front door with their weapons drawn.

Toronto city staff awarded $1 million in sole-sourced contracts to private security companies to prevent homeless people from setting up encampments in public parks, a decision one councillor says was made improperly without council oversight.

Coun. Gord Perks said he believes staff may have overstepped their authority.

While Lowry moved on from the Raptors to join the Miami Heat last summer, he led Toronto to its first NBA championship in 2019.

Mask requirements for high-risk settings — such as doctors’ offices, public transit, hospitals, shelters, retirement and long-term-care homes and labs — were extended as cases spiked earlier this spring.

Masks will still be required in long-term-care and retirement homes, according to the provincial news release.
