I woke up to the news that little known Dubem Kachikwu beat Kingsley Muoghalu & Monye at a "heavily dollarised primary election" to become ADC presidential flag bearer.
These are the issues. Two of the most brilliant & refreshing candidates in this election cycle, sidelined by
dollarisation.
Now, imagine if Peter Obi had not been proactive enough to jump ship early, that's how we'd have had to, yet again, be faced with a choice of the lesser evil.
Can we all now see the size of the problem we face?
Whatever happens in the next elections,
we the people have a civil responsibility to drive a change in our electioneering process, most especially the primaries process, by pressuring the legislature, to make better electoral laws, even if we have to protest for it.
This cannot continue to happen.
We cannot continue to be presented with choices where we have to hold our noses to choose one. It is just not right.
Also, if you're a PDP member, for example, & you know Peter Obi has always been the right choice, & you hate the dolarisation process that produces flag bearers;
but you've stuck with the PDP nonetheless, to work for the candidate they chose, because "I have to stay loyal to my party", then you're only abusing your conscience.
At what point do you do right by your conscience & choose principles over blind loyalty?
Now, with that in mind, can anyone tell me exactly how Obi was supposed to make Onitsha a free trade zone?
Some of you come here & drop threads upon threads filled with cheap lies, just because both political parties have decided that the opposition
in this election is Peter Obi. That says a lot, considering that these two groups are filled with thieving politicians that have collectively looted the national treasury for years.
They feel threatened by a man who exudes competence & credibility, & a track record of being
Do you remember when I told you that elections are as much about numbers, as they about psychological warfare?
Now, I want to help you bring into focus, certain things that have been going on, that you may not
understand, but that are aimed at psychologically conditioning you.
If you watch your TL closely, you'd notice concerted & persistent efforts by certain "influencers", to beat down downplay Peter Obi's chances at the elections.
They employ all manner of tactics to achieve this
Now, also remember that initially, these are the same people that kept referring to Peter Obi with terms like "twitter president", & saying things like "Elections are not won on twitter", & "you people don't have PVCs".
Now that they've seen the massive mobilisation of youths
Hey guys, so last night I was seeing my favourite family show "this is us", & this part came on; & I just had to share it, cos it resonates a lot with where we currently find ourselves with @PeterObi & the Labour Party. For once in our generation, droves of young people who have
never voted in elections before, are determined to become registered voters, because a former two-term governor, who is currently aspiring to the highest office in the country, has made us believe that he genuinely cares about us; & this too, not just by his words & charm, but on
the back of overwhelming evidence based on his antecedents & track record of being very accountable with public trust.
It's time for us to elect a man, who will go into office, knowing that he was elected by the people, & who is keen to help us retrieve some of our lost years
Dickson, you're my buddy, & I've tried so hard to ignore a lot of things you've been writing about Peter Obi; but posterity will not be kind to me if I don't weigh in at this point, cos at this point, I can't tell if this is you being on an intentional campaign to make Peter Obi
appear like a hypocrite, or you truly believe the things you say.
First of all, let me make it clear to you that the moment Peter Obi engages in such politics, the same lot of you would trumpet the slogan that he isn't different after all.
I've stated time & again, that when
it comes to certain political conversations, please stay away from things that you do not understand.
Peter Obi is a man who was comfortably a billionaire at 40, & was practically pushed into politics because Anambra state needed a man to pull us out of the quagmire a PDP
Hello my fellow Obidients. I'm here to speak clarity to you.
Let me, first of all, start by appreciating all the hard work that we have all put in over the past one month+ since @PeterObi declared his intentions to run for the office of the president.
We have since galvanised & sustained our very clear call, making it clear that this is the man that we put our hope, faith, & trust in, wholeheartedly.
Not a single soul has been paid a dime to campaign for him. We have all done this, because we have truly suffered over the
past 7 years, & decided to take up this clarion call, to rescue our country from the hands of zealots & power mongers.
Over the past 2 months since he declared, no candidate has been scrutinised a quarter as much as @PeterObi has been.
