Q1: "What protection is there for us booking in case of refunds for any reason? In UK we have ATOL and ABTA or travel insurance but none of this applies for payments made overseas."

A1: Motawif have confirmed that there is currently no ATOL or ABTA equivalent protection on Hajj packages. They have advised pilgrims to select refundable options, in case of emergencies or positive COVID-19 test results.

Hajj Motawif packages include: Accommodation, Catering, E-Visa, Al Mashear Services, Flights, Insurance, on-ground transportation, etc.

Pfizer Biontech, Moderna, AstraZeneca, Oxford, Johnson, Sinopharm, Sinovac, Covaxin, or Sputnik V are the approved Vaccines.

The Hajj packages are all-inclusive and pilgrims won't need to book anything except the package.

Muslims in Europe, the United States, and Australia can now register for Hajj 2022 / 1443 through the Motawif online portal, which has been authorized by the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah.

Following submission, an automated lottery will be conducted to select individuals to perform #Hajj 2022.

Once a person has been selected, they will be contacted to select a package and make payment via the Motawif portal before receiving a Hajj visa.
