It’s deeply bizarre that the Biden Admin is doing a victory lap when Russia’s invasion of Ukraine is yet ongoing. The U.S. predicted Putin’s invasion but botched Russian military strength & underestimated Ukraine & its efforts to deter the invasion were incoherent or nonexistent.
This article begins by trying to spin Biden Admin actions on NordStream2 (waiving sanctions on the Kremlin’s malign influence project, etc.) as some genius strategic success, when in fact bending the knee like this early on in Biden’s presidency made Putin’s invasion more likely.
This is the immediate next section of the article on what the Biden Admin was doing ahead of Putin’s invasion of Ukraine. Notice what’s missing — anything related to the Biden Admin attempting to actually deter Putin. (Recall that Biden has said sanctions were not meant to deter)

humans would smugly think that modern armies & weaponry could easily stop the dinosaurs, right up until swarms of Deinonychus started gaining control of nuclear weapon installations

Not that it should matter but I don’t think their age is discussed in the movie, and because I am a nerd & have read the books, Dr. Alan Grant is 40 & Dr. Ellie Sattler is in her late 20s. The movie wasn’t about the characters Sam Neill & Laura Dern, it was about Grant & Sattler.
Sam Neill was slightly older than the character he played and Laura Dern was slightly younger than the character she played. Should one or both of them not gotten the roles because of the age gap between them as actors? This literally makes no sense & is the dumbest thing ever.
Also, the first Jurassic Park is among the best action films of all time, the rest have ranged from fine to terrible.
