Some people are opting to bike on the sidewalk. Some are biking into oncoming traffic

I just spent the entirety of every spare hour I had this last week talking to reports and dealing with the aftermath of 2 children killed on the streets of chicago. I’ve had it. Someone come help @USPS back their truck out of the bike lane. He apparently doesn’t know how.

At the corner of @ClintonBikeLn and van Buren if anyone wants to roll through. You can’t miss us.

I let my new friend know he’s trending on Twitter. He said he doesn’t care.

He just closed the door to the truck. Is he leaving?

He just locked up the truck and asked me if I wanted anything for lunch and walked away leaving the truck in the bi-directional bike lane.

A tourist from Washington asked what we were doing. She said ‘thank you’ when we explained. She also apologized for walking in the Randolph bike lane earlier and explained there wasn’t a sidewalk available.

Oh SNAP! We got another back up. And on a @USPS bike.

Not sure how long this video will take to process. It’s about 5mins long. Here’s what happened when @Chicago_Police showed up.

Another person showed up. They missed the standoff but they brought me a charger 🔌. He’s nervous no one will compliment his shoes.
