Adding Negative Keywords:
When hopping into this account, there was a lot of optimizations that had to take place, I started by building negative keyword lists and excluding unprofitable search terms.
Optimizing Audiences / Demographics:
I do bid adjustments on gender, age, and also optimize audiences that are targeted on observation. You can also do bid adjustments on devices.
Location Expansion:
This account was not targeting Canada, So I took the winning campaigns and targeted Canada / UK. ROAS was even higher than it was in USA.
Optimizing the feed:
I optimized each product by upgrading the existing titles, descriptions, product types, GTINs, etc.
Some products were disapproved due to shipping mismatch and the merchant center was at risk. I was able to fix this and get all products approved
Switching from Shopping to Performance Max :
This isn't always the case, but on this brand in particular, shopping was struggling to have a 2 ROAS, when we switched to Performance Max the ROAS Boosted to 3-4.
Mass Testing Performance Max Audiences:
I tested buckets of apps, buckets of websites, a stack of in-market audiences, keywords, warm audiences, individual websites, and combinations of custom segments + your data.
Setup YT Remarketing:
When you're doing these kinds of numbers, it's good to have multiple touch points with your customers. Youtube Ads is a great opportunity to remarket to specific page visitors and abandoners. You can create these audiences inside of the audience manager
Discovery / Display RM:
Discovery outperformed Display Remarketing for me, the setup of the campaign involved targeting specific product pages with specific ads on discovery.
Specific Product Campaigns:
Create specific search campaigns for specific keywords on popular products. Separate your keywords by intent and write custom copies related to the buyer's intent
Target ROAS Switch:
I ran an experiment that boosted ROAS on 4 search campaigns. An experiment is when you split test a bidding strategy with traffic being split 50/50. Target ROAS was able to outperform the Manual CPC bidding strategy on this account at scale

Identify your biggest supporters & filter your Shopify sales to identify anyone with 6+ purchases or $1,000+ spent.

Apps Targeting Strategy:
I target 2 different buckets of apps in 2 different asset groups to start. Each asset group was focused on a specific apps category. One of the categories was not performing, the other one had insane ROAS so i focused on separating the winning apps.
Apps Horizontal Scale:
I tested a few individual apps, Majority of these apps got sales since it was a hyper-targeted audience, the group scale audience was already sitting above 4 ROAS and that did most of the heavy lifting.
