I don't think anyone has labelled #PeterObi a messiah.
No one has dressed him in the messianic gab of "the new sherriff in town, whose presence alone was claimed to have caused power to improve" ala Buhari in 2015.
It is false equivalance to compare the #PeterObi movement of today with the "Sai baba" chants of 2014/2015.
For one, the Buhari myth was just that - a myth - with zero evidence to show any tangible success in the past about Buhari.
And to be brutally frank, if you are legally wealthy and you do not have a tax efficient scheme or protect your wealth from the instability of Nigeria's economic flip flops, then you are very unwise.
FYI, the same Pandora papers @PremiumTimesng referenced mentions many international and political leaders, including Tony Blair (former British PM), Bishop Oyedepo etc.
None of the host countries of these people has come out to say these folks committed a crime.
The situation in the South East is not looking good.
A scenario that will not end well is slowly unfolding simply because the Buhari regime chose a side and the lame duck SE governors could not take decisive actions.
The Fulani herdsmen attacks in the SE have steadily increased in number and ferocity since Buhari became president.
Just like in other parts of Nigeria, the Buhari regime did nothing really to bring these herdsment to justice or even reign them in.
Now we have scenario where armed groups in the SE (does not matter if they are under IPOB ala ESN) have now taken it upon themselves to defend Igboland.
Unfortunately, Buhari's response is predictable - demonise these groups and attempt a military crackdown.
