#Agniveer#AgnipathScheme I am honestly frustated with the ability of Modi Govt to be on the backfoot on every reform initiative. Frankly, there is little startegy, anticipation of opposition & forward path. Shows narrowness of consulting if the most senior Military person in 1/n
cabinet is not consulted on the same. Reform has to be sold not just imposed,it has to offer some pallatives for affected sections like increased intake intially to compensate youth who lost 2 yrs due to pandemic or move to new policy in steps. @ARanganathan72@India_Progress 2/n
Why couldn't ads be taken out in local newspapers explaining policy in detail and benefits, social medial messages, TV ads etc.. It seems the Govt is always reacting. It knows section of media, opposition is going to create commotion. What is the backup plan? @SandipGhose 3/n
This was always a political & military call. Why were the politicians including CM's not ready with a concrete plan of absorbing part of rejects than reacting? In other words, policy announced once again without addressing its fallout. Is it another rollback? @sushilkedia
Ofcourse these are engineered protests by Opposition outside and within the NDA.. but should these not have been anticipated? And request with folded hands Modi govt to either now withdraw if it is not 100% convinced or stick to its guns and not withdraw under any conditions!
Finally, it needs to tell people, Military is not a employment generator like MNREGA. we cannot have a bloated army not upto the requirements of 20th cen warfare. National interest cannot be compromised & those burning trains can't be potential Armymen. @arvindswach@CandidSamar
Seeing the quality of youngsters and their comments on TV especially from Bihar makes me despair for the quality of our educational system which turn out these callow, rough and frankly uneducated youth. If I was a recruiter, I wouldn't want to touch them with a barge pole!
