Some seem to think it's only a certain kind of people that you'll get on a bike.

Everyday people - and they all deserve safe conditions to ride in.
The part-pedestrianised North End provides a welcome refuge from the borough's hostile roads. Not surprising it's popular.
Some say you can't carry shopping on a bike?

Lots of food deliveries happening by bike in and around the town centre nowadays.

And this Deliveroo rider has a moped-like e-bike (despite moped appearance it appears that legally it's still a regular e-bike).
Of course, not everyone's delivering - some are just out to get some lunch or enjoy the summer rays.

Croydon is the only London town centre with trams at street level. The tracks have to be navigated with a little care, but people soon get the hang of it.
Just like Amsterdam, in other words, although the only thing you'll find in Croydon's coffee shops is coffee.
