2/ Extracts for those whose eyes glaze over with too much reading:- 
3/ At the time the report was written, Scotland had high unemployment rates and low productivity rates compared to rUK as the report mentions. Look at us now! Second lowest unemployment in the UK and productivity higher than all regions except London & the South East, and rising.
4/ As we’ve seen from the recent headlines - the oil magically hasn’t run out as we were told by UK gov and MSM in the lead up to the last referendum. In fact the £5bn windfall tax on oil and gas companies raised in a single year is funding the UK cost of living support package.
5/ The latest study advises there are in fact 20 BILLION barrels of oil and gas remaining. We need to leave a large % in the ground to meet climate change commitments so after that is deducted, 3.4 billion barrels remain or in time terms, 10-15 years at current production levels.
6/ Oil and gas aside, we have VAST potential for renewable energy generation. We are already Europe’s 3rd largest producer of renewable electricity - and we haven’t even scratched the surface of tidal power yet. In 2020 97% of Scotland’s electricity was renewable.
7/ With the freedom for our government to invest in renewables infrastructure and provide grants and interest free loans for heat pumps and electric vehicles, citizens of an independent Scotland could power and heat their homes, and fuel their cars for free. You #YES yet? 🏴
