Our preprint on Covid mortality in children and young people (medrxiv.org/content/10.110…) in the US was cited at the FDA VRBPAC and CDC ACIP meetings this past week. It shows: Covid-19 is a leading cause of death in children in the US. 1/3
We have received some feedback and criticism along several dimensions. We are planning to update the preprint to take into account some of this feedback, primarily by focusing on Covid as an underlying cause of death using CDC WONDER Provisional Mortality Statistics. 2/3
Check medrxiv.org later this week for an updated preprint. So far, as we update our analysis, our major conclusions are unchanged. Covid is a top 10 cause of death in children of all ages, and the #1 cause of death from infectious / respiratory diseases.

There has been some misunderstanding surrounding an interview I gave to Espejo Público in which I was asked about the current situation in Spain. Below are the questions I was asked (by email) and the full video answers that I recorded. I hope this clears up any confusion.
Q: "1) You have said the measures taken by the Spanish Government have averted about 16.000 deaths: closure of schools, lockdowns, big events cancelled and many more of them … Which one do you think it has been the most decisive one?"
