#1 Multiple chief ministers, union ministers, state ministers, civic chiefs and officials have undertaken innumerable "study tours" to study civic amenities in other countries - and yet, they have no idea of how to go about projects. Not one person can be held accountable.
#2 We seem singularly lacking in foresight, bereft of ideas and devoid of confidence to undertake something of this nature. How many plan revisions were required and made for the construction of the KRS reservoir (for example, a far more challenging task with complex...
#3 geological and hydrological challenges, and clearance required from the Imperial government)? With the technology and material available those days, the construction started in 1911 and finished in 1931. If Bangalore today has the luxury of wasting water, it's thanks to KRS.
#4 As for cost projections, the less the said the better. Even households budget expenditure based on current prices - not what prevailed during their parents' times. If is both daft and and an insult to intelligence that the #BDA expected to get away with a lower compensation.
#5 In the meantime, as with other projects. speculators will swarm in, dislodge the original landowners for a pittance and make hay. Now that a new DPR is being considered, the wheeler-dealers will be having a gala time and the local land owning farmers left in a limbo again.
#6 As @ashwinmahesh says, time to demolish the BDA and think of an autonomous effective, efficient alternative free of political influence. Can we even imagine it in today's political environment? This may sound harsh - do decision-makers even possess the intellect for it? ...END

1/n @DheemanthAdiga1 @blrcitytraffic You are about to wear your helmet. You are about to start your vehicle. Therefore, what was the status of your vehicle? Parked. It would have been, until your vehicle started moving. No ambiguity here.
2/n Parking may be taken to mean where a vehicle remains at rest at a location where it is forbidden, as on the road. Double parking is when it is done in front (or behind) a parked vehicle in a manner that prevents the earlier parked vehicle moving out without hindrance.
3/n "An object at rest will continue to remain at rest unless acted upon by an external force" - Newton's 1st Law of Motion. A vehicle at rest is deemed to be 'parked'. 4/n

@vikramhegde Congratulations. On to 25 now!
If you don’t mind, I’ll add a few from another profession:
If I may, I’ll add a few others from another profession:
1. The early years are tough. We cannot jumpstart, we have to do very well to get through them.
2. Our hard work has to “show” - it is not a prized exhibit that people will flock to and admire.
3. Criticism, however harsh or unreasonable, is a great teacher. We will do well to learn from it rather than resent it.
4. When early praise comes, put it away. It tends to flatter.
5. Respect from peers is always hard-earned. We should work towards earning it on priority.
6. Monetary success is necessary - we must ensure it does not become an obsession.
7. It is people that matter, they are our sustenance. Persons and personalities are incidental.
