1 - I created my portfolio on Canva, but I made sure that I HIGHLY customize it - I've seen 10+ portfolios yesterday that had the same color scheme and fonts. Switch it up to STAND OUT.
2 - 2 days ago, I posted an Instagram story and I tagged the brand to initiate conversation. LUCKILY, the person behind the Instagram account is the same person that hires content creators.
3 - Yesterday, I decided to send her another DM, just letting her know that I'm a creator and I would love to SHARE MY IDEAS with her via e-mail. She gave me her e-mail address and I spent some time crafting that pitch, giving her concrete examples of ideas I have for the brand.
4 - She responded with a budget, and asked how many videos can I create with the said budget. I gave her a discount as she would like to have me onboard as on a MONTHLY basis.
5 - And just like that, I secured a RECURRING, PAID DEAL as a UGC creator. If you check my pinned tweet, my introduction and my portfolio were posted less than 24 hours ago. I didn't think it was possible, WOW ✨
