I used to think that the Guardian was a decent left wing newspaper, didn't you?
Then, finally, we got the left wing leader that many of us had hoped and dreamed for, @jeremycorbyn
It's then I realised that @guardian was actually a lie.
Between 2016 - 2019 they 1/5
published 1,215 articles ripping into Corbyn, citing antisemitism in every single one.
Yet weirdly enough, during this time they only published 194 articles mentioning Islamophobia within the Tory party which was a much more prevalent issue.
They turned their back on 2/5
the left and on socialism, contributing to the downfall of the man who would have been one of the best prime ministers of the modern era.
I watched one of my favourite authors, someone who had helped to shape my political opinion on the Establishment attack a movement 3/5
they had helped to shape, turning on the leader we desperately needed. That's when I finally realised that it was over.
Remember, The Guardian is not your friend. It's part of the establishment now, so please, please consider ditching it 4/5
Bonus Tweet: If you're going to link a Guardian article, please consider writing 'dump' before theguardian. com
This ensures that they don't gain ad revenue from the article
That way you can still read their drivel, but they don't get a penny
Looks like the media are going full throttle with the Railway Strike propaganda so I would like to clear a few things up
Firstly, the strike yesterday wasn't just one organisation.
One was orchestrated by National Rail as they are wanting to make track workers redundant 2/6
And not just a few of them, making for tracks will will less safe. Secondly they are wanting to cut costs on maintenance, which again will compromise safety.
Lastly, the workload for Rail signallers is going to increase significantly, yet no pay increase has been offered 3/6
