As promised, today our ENS Subdomain management tool is open to the public.
Below is a little thread on what functionality we offer and what our vision is for esf
🧵(1/10)
ENS is quite daunting and technical for the average user. There is not an easy way to distribute or configure subdomains.
esf lets people mint ERC-721s that are bound to the subdomain, these NFTs are fully transferable and can be sold on ethereum marketplaces.
(2/10)
These NFTs can be
minted for free by the ENS owner or they can be sold for a fixed price to the public through our site. We want to make ENS subdomains easy for the users.
(3/10)
As well as obvious use cases like monitization we can see lots of other exciting possibilities. eg, it's possible for gated communities to be built around these subdomains. People that have private discord groups where they want to sell access can do this with
collabland
(4/10)
We have wrapped esf.eth ENS, people that mint one of our subdomains will have access to a supporter role in our discord. We hope that esf will become the platform of choice for
people to manage their subdomains in a simple and easy way.
(5/10)
There is a small cost of 0.1 eth to wrap a domain. This is a one time cost per domain and the reason is to prevent spam / poor quality domains from being wrapped. Introducing a small fee means 2 things
(6/10)
1. Less domains will get wrapped, and the ones that do are more likely to be used 2. Funds that are gathered through the wrapping process could be used to extend domains that are deposited into the platform as anyone can renew a domain.
(7/10)
Our main features currently:
- Onchain royalties paid out to the ENS owner
- Full etherscan reverse resolution support
- Default subdomain image set by the ENS owner
- Full text support
- Lockable ENS to give confidence to buyers the subdomains cannot be rugged
(8/10)
We've been working on this for several months and today is a huge day for us please pop into our discord, say hello and ask any questions about our platform :)
esf.eth subdomains currently cost 0.05 eth and are available for anyone to mint and support the project.
