There's a big mess today in the Portuguese gamedev community. A group of investors that no one has ever heard of w/ no experience in the industry founded the Portuguese chapter of the International Game Developers Association and are trying to represent the community 😐
These same people are also all connected to an investment program for games which in turn is connected to their own gamedev company that's developing, their first game, a generic looking Sci Fi FPS (universe51.com) but promising the world to investors.
This all smells a bit fishy to me, and more of a way to gobble up government subsidies and investor money without any interest in delivering a game, or representing Portuguese game devs.
