LIVE: It is Leni Robredo's last day as the Vice President of the Philippines on Wednesday, June 29. Rappler's @maracepeda gives a recap of the outgoing VP's last press briefing.

#RapplerRecap:
@maracepeda .@maracepeda: VP Leni Robredo did her final acts as the sitting VP, including leading the oathtaking of several officials. She also met with the members of the vice-presidential security detachment. #RapplerRecap
.@maracepeda: She made sure that she will be talking to reporters who covered her in the past 6 years.... It's just Robredo looking back at the past 6 years. #RapplerRecap
.@maracepeda: During interview, she was very excited to talk about the unqualified opinion the OVP received from COA for 2021. This is the fourth straight time the OVP received the highest audit rating from COA. #RapplerRecap
.@maracepeda: VP Leni Robredo is excited to go back to citizen Robredo.... It's a mixture of excitement and sadness for her – excitement because she no longer has to go through protocols [for sitting the sitting VP], more time to watch K-Drama. #RapplerRecap
Robredo says her appointment as the Inter-Agency Committee on Anti-Illegal Drugs (ICAD) chair is among the memorable moments during her term.

She also considers memorable the waves of volunteerism that her office sparked during calamities and the pandemic. #RapplerRecap
Robredo also said: If I have do it all over again, knowing na matatalo ako, I would do it again. 'Yung 2022 campaign 'yung pinakakaiba kasi nakita ko talaga 'yung power of volunteerism.... (1/2) | via @maracepeda #RapplerRecap
Robredo: So sa akin, wala akong regrets at all. Kung kailangan ko siyang gawin uli knowing na matatalo ako, gagawin ko. (2/2) | via @maracepeda #RapplerRecap
What we know so far about the Angat Buhay NGO: Magkakaroon ng fundraising event. Many of the illustrations and paintings that Robredo received from artists will be used for the foundation. Hindi raw ito auction type.

More details soon in the coming days about the NGO.

Akbayan says shutdown order vs Rappler "is a telling blow against press freedom in the country. This is more than the closure of a news organization. This act sends a chilling effect that practically threatens other media practitioners." | via @maracepeda
@maracepeda Akbayan: Two years ago, the Duterte administration spent considerable time and energy to force the closure of ABS-CBN and deny the network the renewal of its franchise. | via @maracepeda
@maracepeda Akbayan: The outgoing admin's final act is the persecution of its perceived enemies. In a time when historical revisionism and fake news weaken our institutions and wreak havoc on the truth, a strong, free, and independent press is vital to the protection of our democracy.

Senator Risa Hontiveros on the closure order vs @rapplerdotcom: It is truly deplorable that this administration continues to find new ways of threatening legitimate news organizations not to exercise press freedom. | via @maracepeda
@maracepeda Hontiveros: And while many registered news outfits are being crushed, unaccountable and insensitive vloggers and internet journalists have been given accreditation to cover the most important events in government. This only sows distrust and cultivates a tame coverage.
@maracepeda Hontiveros: We need critical, honest, and facts-based journalism. I will always fight for freedom of the press. | via @maracepeda
