two videos have been shown: one narrated video showing the timeline/still photos, and one body cam video showing the chase & shooting of #JaylandWalker. APD Chief Steve Mylett says total # of shots isn't known but expects it to be consistent w/ the 90 number that's been reported.
Mylett says according to the Summit County Medical Examiner's Office, Jayland Walker had about 60 total wounds, but it's not clear how many were entry wounds and how many were exit wounds. still being determined.
APD says during the chase on Route 8, "a sound consistent with a gunshot" (per narrated video) was heard. the narrated video showed shots from ODOT cameras that police say show a flash from the car at the same time, "what we believe to be a muzzle shot," Mylett said.
Akron PD also said a handgun, a loaded magazine and a gold ring were found on the front seat. But when he was shot, Jayland Walker did not have a gun.
Bobby DiCello, attorney for Jayland Walker's family, is currently hosting a press conference. he said no bullet hole was found in the car/door. he also said he was told by Ohio BCI that the gun was found in the backseat, but the photo from Akron PD shows it in the driver's seat.
