WHO’S BEHIND THE LATEST ATTEMPT TO END DONALD TRUMP’S POLITICAL CAREER?
The conspirators have something in common, which may surprise you.
Read on.
2\
On June 28, former White House aide Cassidy Hutchinson testified before the Jan 6th committee that then President Trump engaged in a physical altercation with his top security official, or so she’s heard.
3\
At 12:01 AM the next day, the Washington Examiner published an editorial from its board claiming Hutchinson’s testimony proved Trump is unfit to hold elective office again.
4\
The Examiner didn’t hesitate to run with the most sensational of accusations against the former president.
5\
The executive editor of the Washington Examiner is Seth Mandel. We’ll get back to him later.
6\
Andrew McCarthy followed later that day with an article in the NY Post touting the significance of Hutchinson’s “devastating testimony.”
On June 30, the New York Post published an op/ed by Douglas Murray, who makes the case that, based on revelations in the Jan 6h hearings, the Republican party must move on from Donald Trump.
8\
According to Murray, the Jan 6h committee hearings have uncovered scandalous behavior that rivals the worst of Ancient Rome!
9\
Murray counsels Republicans not to worry, though, because the party has a “deep bench.” 🤣
10\
These were not simply 3 random columns by 3 independently-minded authors. The 3 men have something in common. McCarthy, Murray and Mandel have a long history of opposition to Islamism.
11\
(A note here: I tried to find some middle ground between “anti-Islamic terrorism” {which almost everyone opposes} and “anti-Islam” {which wouldn’t be a fair charaterization of the 3 columnists’ views}. I settled on the more neutral term, “anti-Islamism”).
12\
McCarthy’s battle with Islamism dates all the way back to his time on the prosecution team in the 1993 World Trade Center bombing case.
He was also on the command team of prosecutors after 9/11.
13\
McCarthy would later go on to write several books on Islamic terrorism.
14\
In 2004, McCarthy began a long association with the Foundation for Defense of Democracies.
FDD was founded just days after the 9/11 terrorist attacks.
Douglas Murray is a British writer who was formerly the associate director of the Henry Jackson Society, a neoconservative organization in England that I have written about previously.
My concern in this thread is not whether the MSM is correct to label the Gatestone Institute or any other organization as “anti-Muslim.”
20\
I only want to show that a network of like-minded people opposed to Islamism exist and at least some members of that network are attempting to end Trump’s future political plans.
21\
Murray was part of the institute with John Bolton and James Woolsey, two men who previously attempted to undermine the Trump presidency.
Woolsey was not only an associate of Murray’s at the Gatestone Institute; he was an “international patron” at the Henry Jackson Society.
The ubiquitous Woolsey was also the long-time chairman of FDD.
The tangled web...
23\
Mandel joined the Foundation for Defense of Democracies as a National Security Fellow in 2011.
The same year Mandel was named a journalist fellow at the David Horowitz Freedom Center, one of the staunchest anti-Islamists organizations in the world.
24\
Mandel also wrote for Rupert Murdoch’s the NY Post. In 2018, Mandel left the Post to become executive editor of the NEOCONSERVATIVE
Washington Examiner.
Not the "even the conservative Washington Examiner"
25\
It’s my belief that the timing of the publication of these articles was no accident. Typical of such a coordinated attack was how the release of the Access Hollywood tape in October 2016 was exploited.
26\
Once the audio of the tape broke, top GOPe politicians all issued statements calling for Trump to step aside.
27\
Whether they were behind the release of the tape is not certain, but they surely had knowledge it was coming and the cascade of GOPe condemnations was designed to build momentum and force Trump to quit the race.
28\
I believe a similar scenario is at play here: Hutchinson gave her “explosive testimony” and the columns declaring “Drumpf is finished” followed.
29\
As the week progressed, however, inconsistencies and outright falsehoods in Hutchinson’s testimony have been exposed.
Of course, it was Liz Cheney leading the questioning of Hutchinson. Cheney’s father, Dick, was well known for both his anti-Islamism and his willingness to resort to the “Big Lie.”
Alyssa Farah Griffin claims she introduced Hutchinson to Cheney
It should also be noted that John Hannah, a former national security advisor to VP Cheney, is senior counsel at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies. Lots of dots connecting.
33\
Why would they do this? After all, two of Trump’s most notable foreign policy decisions were implementing the “Muslim ban” and ending the Iran Deal. 🤷♂️
34\
I suspect the main reason is that for the NeverTrumper any departure from the GOP foreign policy of 2004 is intolerable. Was there any difference in the foreign policy positions of Bush jr, McCain or Romney?
35\
Do Cruz or Rubio stray in any significant way from GOP foreign policy positions of the last 22 years?
How about Tom Cotton?
Mike Pompeo?
Nikki Haley?
Tim Scott?
Mike Pence?
36\
For all his tough talk, Trump didn’t use military force enough to satisfy the neocons. His decision to pull US troops from Syria was probably his most egregious divergence from GOP approved foreign policy positions.
37\
Almost certainly anyone else the GOP nominates would be more reliably interventionist than Trump. Yes, that includes Ron DeSantis. So they will attempt to sabotage his 2024 chances given the opportunity.
38\
I have some more theories, but I’ll leave those for another thread.
Happy Independence Day! 🇺🇸 🎆🧨🍔

There was an article on the InfoWars site, dated 3/17/2016 but since deleted, in which Stone made the case that the GOP establishment planned on robbing Trump at the convention.
3\
Just a short time later in March, Trump hired Manafort because of his reputation as the "delegate whisperer" to prevent the GOPe from stealing the nomination.
Some good news: Alex Christoforou and Alexander Mercouris of The Duran discuss how the debunking of Russiagate has affected US public opinion compared to Europe.
2\
Glenn Greenwald properly frames the importance of Russiagate to the current situation in Ukraine.
3\
The difference between Trump and Biden is not what a tough guy Trump was compared to weak Biden. That's neocon nonsense.
As Mike Flynn correctly points out, Trump did not demonize Russia. It's kind of hard to negotiate with someone after you labeled them another Hitler.
TRUMP/RUSSIA COLLUSION HAS BEEN PROVEN TO BE A HOAX.... AND NOTHING HAS CHANGED
Watch this video, all of it.
(note the date)
2\
So in this video from April 2016, we hear words that have become ubiquitous over the last 5 years: "Russian aggression," "disinformation" and, of course, "Ukraine."
3\
This event was hosted by the Institute of World Politics.
The school was founded in 1990 by Jon Lenczowski (the man on the right in the video).
He was Director of European and Soviet Affairs on the National Security Council for 4 years in the Reagan White House.
Cruz allowed Mueller/Weissmann to accuse the Trump campaign of trying to obtain Hillary's emails when it was a member of his campaign leading the effort.
