Hi. Mad Dog Staffer here. It’s the 3 year anniversary of this staffer getting involved with this team and it’s been, sincerely, a blast. Thank you Claude and Erin, + the rest of the Pack, for the opportunity to rant to a larger audience.

Also, Mad Dog has allowed me to do things to make a sincere difference I couldn’t have done otherwise. Such as our PPE distribution during the pandemic. Looking forward to more work to #UnFuckAmerica w the best team ever.

Being a part of the efforts of what Mad Dog PAC does is more than just snarky good morning memes and billboards and funny mugs. It’s changing maps. It’s spitting truth to power. In 2020 it was getting face shields to BIA hospitals in the middle of nowhere.

This year it’s included direct help to both real people in Ukraine & help for their government to buy some cheap but effective drones to help them stay free from Russians on a war crime spree. It’s flipping a big old bird at the Russian Embassy & putting up the Zelenskyy Way sign

Watching a video of Yo Yo Ma choosing to play on the street corner under that sign was unabashedly one of the most artistically rewarding moments ever, because at that moment, Mad Dog PAC was helping generate a historic moment in protest. It’s awesome to be part of this mission.

And there’s a larger point here too: protest doesn’t have to fit inside any particular preconceived box to be dramatically effective. The GPS will tell you to turn R on Jamal Kashoggi Way, now, for example.
