It's 7 am on Monday, July 4 and the 1776 Restoration Movement is on the road heading toward DC. There are at least 3 livestreams running, and the streamer I'm watching claims they are traveling in multiple groups. #convoywatch #1776RM 1 of n

7:21am- one group is getting on 270 south, they were on 70 south. This is a different route than they took last week, but it's one they're very familiar with from back during TPC's first Hagerstown stay. I'm still not sure what the plan is when they get to or near DC. 2 of n

7:30am- It does seem like they're traveling in multiple groups, maybe 4 or 5. I'm unlikely to be able to follow each group individually so if you're out and about near DC just keep an eye out. I need more coffee. 3 of n

7:50am- at least one group on 66east, at least one group on 270 south. 4 of n

CB chatter says the group that is on 270 will be getting on 495 east. 5 of n

8am- CB chatter says the group that was on 66 east says they're getting on 495 South. 6 of n

8:16am- LOTS of flags, a group is stopped on 270 south blocking 3 lanes. They say they're gonna sit there for 30 minutes. The group is being instructed to stay in their vehicles, keep the engines running, and wait. 7 of n

8:20am- not all groups have stopped, or at least that's what it looks like based on the livestreams (though I imagine there's some way to spoof that). Unclear if or when the other groups will stop. 8 of n

8:25am- Another group is slowed waaay down and creeping along on the beltway. Lots of honking, impossible to tell if it's the convoy or pissed off bystanders. #convoywatch 9 of n

8:30am- One streamer claims 70, 270, 95 south, and 95 north are all blocked up 3 wide. I'm... not sure that's accurate but that's the claim. 10 of n

There's at least on section where traffic is totally stopped, both lanes blocked. The is the view from where the steamer is, there's a sign that says "Lyons St Detour". 11 of n

8:40am- Multiple convoyers are out of their vehicles walking around on the highway with traffic mostly or fully stopped, this seems really unsafe. Cops are there with at least one group, not sure if there are cops with all groups. #convoywatch 12 of n

8:43am- Streamer claims the state troopers are allowing the stop to continue for the remainder of the 30 minutes they're planning on being stopped for, sounds like they have about 3 or 4 minutes left. They are getting back in their vehicles. 13 of n

8:46 am- Someone (possibly the cops?) asked Big D how many times they'll be doing this today. Streamer claims they're just press and don't know. Cop asked if they are the 1776 Restoration Movement. 14 of n

8:47am- At least one of the convoy blockages is moving again, the group that Santa was part of. #convoywatch , #1776RM. 15 of n

8:50am- One group is moving, others are still stopped. It appears that each group is stopping for 30 minutes, and those 30 minutes are not coordinated to be at the same time. Someone on stream tells the cop the group is going back to camp after the stoppage ends. 16 of n

8:55am- Another group started moving the again, the group that was blocking the two lane section where road construction is happening. At least one group is still stopped. #convoywatch 17 of n

These folks are such jerks. The group that's still stopped is standing feet from the one moving lane, shouting about people being "triggered". No- they're pissed off at traffic, that's literally how DC works. 18 of n

9:05am- Another group has started moving, I think (though can't swear) that all groups are moving again after the 30 minute stoppage. 19 of n

As far as I can see all the convoy groups are still moving. At least one group is rolling 3 wide on the beltway but seem to be moving at a reasonable beltway speed. CB chatter suggest stopping 60 minutes tmrw & increase each day. Not sure if that's a plan or just chatter. 22 of n

9:58am- From CB chatter it sounds like the group on the beltway is going to try to get on 395 and roll 2 lanes wide (on a 3 lane highway), and if they can't then they'll head back to camp. 23 of n

Fyi- my policy right now is that anyone can follow and/or retweet, regardless of their political views. (I know some right winger ppl dislike the convoy and/or hate traffic.) If someone makes convoy-positive comments on my tweets, and/or threatens me, then I block them. 24 of n

10:20am- Beltway group is going to try to take exit 57B for 395 North. Unclear if it will work. 25 of n

10:22am- One convoy group is getting on 395 North, exit is not blocked. From various chatter they're claiming there are about 20 vehicles in that group, I can't confirm or disprove that statement but it seems like a realistic estimate. #1776RM #convoywatch 26 of n

10:25am- Convoy is rolling in lanes 2 of 3 (the right two lanes) on 395 North. Passing exit 2B for Edsall road for folks who want a location. Lots of honking, the group is pretty hard to miss. 27 of n

A driver in the group that isn't on 395 had to pull off because they were feeling ill, an ambulance may have been called. It sounds like someone else is going to drive the vehicle back to camp. That group appears to have exited the highway and stopped at a gas station. 28 of n

10:40am- The group on 395 North is still rolling two lanes wide, passing exit 8C right now. 29 of n

10:45am- Traffic has slowed on 395 but it seems like just regular July 4th traffic (not caused by the convoy specifically). The fake fire truck is running both lights and siren (not sure how well that comes across in the screenshot). Lots of honking. 30 of n

11am- The exit for 14th street is blocked off (that's likely a standard July 4th exit blockage and not a convoy related thing). Convoy group is still rolling slower than other traffic in the center 2 lanes, people are passing them on either side. 31 of n

It's 11:10am- Some of the group has arrived back at camp in Bunker Hill, I'm not sure how many vehicles went back. The 1776RM group on 395 is still crawling along in two lanes and are near Exit 5. #convoywatch 32 of n

11:25am- The 1776RM convoy is in all 3 lanes going incredibly slowly on 395 near the exit for 2A, and actively blocking anyone who tries to weave through (like the little sedan in the picture). The CB chatter is mostly convoyers gleeful that motorists are "triggered". 33 of n

I just snorted water out my nose. A streamer said "this isn't a protest, we're just slow rolling" so the whole 395 mess isn't a protest, they're just annoying off other motorists for their own amusement. Not exactly a great way to grow your movement. 34 of n

11:35am- Still rolling slow in the left 2 lanes. CB chatter is discussing pulling off for a pee break and then they might "turn around and come the other way". Not sure if that's a real plan or just a joke, this must be boring as heck. 35 of n

11:39am- They're getting off at exit 2B for South Capitol Street. 36 of n

11:50am- The group is starting to realize this wasn't the best choice of neighborhoods (aka, not a convoy friendly spot) for their pit stop. They do appear to have a police escort now. CB chatter about stopping at a Shell station for gas & bathroom & snacks. 37 of n

11:52am- They're pulling into a Walgreens parking lot for their pee break. Lots of honking, as usual. 38 of n

And hello new followers! I’m a researcher with a focus on how misinfo & disinfo contribute to extremism, I follow the #1776RM as part of that work. I tweet about their travels to help folks on the ground avoid and/or be prepared for the arrival of this high-impact group. 39 of n

12:15pm- The 1776RM convoy still hanging out in a Walgreens parking lot. I'm not sure what route they plan to take when they depart. The group is about 15 vehicles, it appears that the fake fire truck is the only big vehicle (no semis). 40 of n

12:24pm- The #1776RM is rolling out of the Walgreens at 4635 S Capitol St SW. Streamer claims the cops said this was "not the best area of town" & claims the cops said they will escort them out front & back without needing to stop at traffic lights. #convoywatch 41 of n

12:29pm- Convoy is getting on 495 South. They appear to be going a reasonable speed for the moment, we'll see if they keep that up. Their earlier traffic mess seems to have gotten a bit of attention, but I doubt as much as they wanted . 42 of n

12:40pm- The convoy is taking exit 170A for 495 North.. These streamers scare the heck out of me sometimes, they're driving and reading the comments on their stream and also checking the news to see if anyone is covering the stuff they're doing all at the same time. 43 of n

It looks like a group of protestor on foot are blocking the inner loop now. I'm pretty sure this is not related to the 1776RM convoy, it's a totally different strategy and none of their streamers have mentioned it. h/t @Mammuthus_ 44 of n

Just wanna make sure everyone realizes this group doing a beltway shut down on foot is NOT part of 1776RM. Part of the 1776RM group was back in WV before noon, the rest were getting a police escort

2:05pm- All streams from the group still driving back to camp have ended, the last one about 15 minutes ago. This is pretty common as they get further west in Virginia where cell service isn't as stable, but just an fyi that I don't have eyes on them at this time. 48 of n

2:35pm- A stream from the convoy picked back up, they're still on the way back to camp. They're I-81 North near Winchester, VA. I finally had some time to catch up on telegram- the person who deals with 1776RM's finances claimed the fuel bill last night was $4600. 49 of n
