1/ THREAD: Body Language and Statement Analysis No. 4656: Police Officer after Highland Park Parade Massacre #BodyLanguage #BodyLanguageExpert #BehaviorAnalysis #EmotionalIntelligence
2/ In the image above, a Lake County police officer can be seen amidst the aftermath of today's mass-murder during the Fourth of July Parade in Highland Park, Illinois (currently 6 fatalities, 36 wounded/injured).
3/ It's a common misunderstanding that when people cover their faces in this manner or similar that it's because they're crying and don't want others to see their tears/emotional status.
4/ And while this can be the possible explanation in a small percentage of cases, the vast majority of times, it's a nonverbal manifestation of emotional processing.
5/ Said another way, our 'Intellectual Brains' may fully well know what has occurred, but our 'Emotional Brains' are still processing the situation and its ramifications.
6/ It's a signal that our emotions have yet to come to terms with what has happened. Most often, this is in a bad situation — although this same body language can manifest itself with good emotions/scenarios as well.
7/ Sometimes it's the eyes that are mostly covered, sometimes it's a partial covering of the eyes and mouth, sometimes it's primarily the mouth, but often it's more complete — as we see in this example. (photo credit @briancassella, Chicago Tribune)
8/ When this happens, it almost always occurs with both hands (rarely just one hand).
9/ Crucially, when people display this body language in such scenarios, not only do we know they're having difficulty processing the emotional gravity of the situation — it's also a signal that this person has an empathy level that's significantly higher than average.
10/ Thus, this nonverbal display tells us information about the person in real time, in that moment — but also, it helps us predict a larger personality trait: their Empathy Quotient.
11/ People who have suffer from PTSD/C-PTSD also display this nonverbal behavior with a significantly higher frequency.
12/ Conversely, those who rarely/never display this body language in highly emotional scenarios, will have a significantly lower Empathy Quotients.

1/ THREAD: Body Language and Behavior Analysis No. 4658: Amy Coney Barrett's unusual facial expression #BodyLanguage #BodyLanguageExpert #BehaviorAnalysis #EmotionalIntelligence Image
2/ Does this image of Amy Coney Barrett set off your internal alarm bells? — Regardless of your political ideology, it should.
3/ First and foremost, look at her eyes. Coney Barrett's upper eyelids are opened wider — not extremely widely, but absolutely her upper eyelids are opened significantly wider than baseline.

@AshaRangappa_ 1/ THREAD: Respectfully, a portion of the Secret Service must have been compromised.

A. Both the Pence's life and Harris's life were threatened/placed in grave danger/worse, in the same city, on the same day, almost at the exact same time, within 0.5 miles of each other.
@AshaRangappa_ 2/ B. The DNC Pipe Bomb was found while Kamala Harris was inside the DNC.

Why wasn't this PB found before she entered the building? Was no sweep of building performed? Was the PB found but ignored? Profound incompetence? Foreknowledge of the bomb?
@AshaRangappa_ 3/ C. Who had knowledge of Harris's schedule for January 6th, 2021?

1/ THREAD: And while we're asking the Secret Service questions, @January6thCmte, ask them these:

• How did you 'overlook' the Pipe Bomb at the DNC when V.P. Elect Harris was there, in that building, on Jan. 6th, 2021?

• Who knew Harris was going to be at the DNC on Jan. 6th?
2/ • How is it that 2 Vice Presidents, the sitting VP's and the VP Elect's lives, were in deliberately placed in mortal danger on the same day, at the same time, in the same city, within 1/2 mile of each other — in 'separate' events?
3/ • Do you really expect us to believe these simultaneous and mortal threats against Pence and Harris are unrelated and were unorchestrated?

1/ THREAD: A profoundly important behavioral distinction is the difference between true belief — and that of 'a desire to believe' in the face of being lied to or conned. Once a person has been conned, for many people, there is an intense desire to still believe.
2/ People will twist themselves in pretzels in an effort to believe the lies they've bought into — to not see and to not face the truth.
3/ When people are conned and their psyche is trying to deny it, they become defensive and angry — even when in the face of clear evidence of deception.
