So I'll have a more detailed thread up probably tomorrow morning afternoon. Tonight there was a march in dc that brought attention to why we can't celebrate July 4th. America is in a state of grieving the loss of alot of things at the moment. Roe, Jayland Walker, and our rights
The police precnese was very large from the beginning. There were easily a 3 to one ratio of police to protesters and at aomepoint got higher as night kept going.
Below are a few clips on moments the crowd experienced.
There were many intense moments of the night but this was a big moment. As the crowd was gathered on Pennsylvania Ave, a block or so from Trump tower, a flag burning was happening. Multiple flags were added, but a person snatched this flag before they could fully ignite it
Cops of course came in and pushed everyone back. Set up a line and came to extinguish the fire.
A few pictures from up on capitol hill early into the night. Cops shortly assaulted alot of people. I lost my phone due to a cop swiping it at one point but was able to retrieve it.
This was the initial clash on capitol hill. The march path was cut off and police were not allowing continuing. There was no clear path given and surrounded on 2-3 sides at one point.
This is the second push that capitol police did to crowd as they passed the capitol.
Here is the clip I have of officer swipe at my phone. I didn't grt whole thing because clip force stopped when it was knocked out of hand.
The cop who assaulted me moved a few ranks back, I'm guessing after supervisor told him to, I can be heard here asking for badge numbers, but never got an answer or a name. Again I was lucky to recover my phone while this happened.
Random pictures below include a picture of the Bearcat and support truck, smoldering pile of flags, and a BagShaw spotting next to a squirtle fuck the police flag.
I will be posting more detailed thread tomorrow but it's almost 4am, so I need to log out for the night.ill leave you with a video of DC showing out for #JaylandWalker#akron to dc we show solidarity.
Oh one last video. This is why the DC community hates LT. Bagshaw. As the crowd chants who keeps us safe as they disperse bagshaw can be head saying " we keep you safe" he also uses tactics of pretending to be on phone before tackling someone to ground and bike cops rush. A
All my homies hate bagshaw.
The more detailed thread is up now. Includes more chants and videos of the march last night.
Monday July 4th 2022, @bitebackdc held a march in Washington DC. The intent of the march was to question why we are celebrating freedom when our autonomy, our community, and our rights are under attack.
As I arrived to the park about 20 minutes early the park was empty. The surrounding area of the park on the otherhand was flooded with police. Every side was lined with vehicles ans gear trucks/trailers. At one point I see the white shirts meeting. Ass. Cheif carrol is there.
The crowd was gathering in the park slowly as people talked and went over basics of what to expect. There was talk of no tone policing actions, why we were there, and safety run down banner says "corrupt courts & killer cops BURN IT DOWN"
This week was unlike any other I've ever seen in Washington DC. It started when rumors online weeks before started getting more aggressive and threatening. There was alot of talk about bombs and guns being brought. They followed through with threats. 1/?
I held alot of footage until I made it back to a safe place because of those threats. I spent my first day running around town looking for intel and supporting our community. I arrived in DC, where I grew up, on Monday night and saw a few trump supporters around 2/
I ran into issues with my safe house and had to figure out alternative that kept me from running into downtown to Guage how many people were already here, so I held off until Tuesday morning. 3/
