BREAKING NEWS : Doctors for XR disrupt the JP Morgan Corporate challenge in London.
Why? Because JP Morgan’s continued investment in new fossil fuel infrastructure will disrupt health + healthcare systems. We must do what we can to turn off the money pipeline #JPMCC 1/5
JP Morgan are the world's dirtiest bank - investing 34% more than any other bank in fossil fuels. They are the biggest investor in fossil fuel expansion which the International Energy Agency say is not needed to power the world. 2/5
What's worse, the fossil fuel projects JPM is financing in the global south will take years to produce. They will become stranded assets as fossil fuel demand falls - and lead to even more debt. 3/5

The irony which will not be lost on JPMorgan is that they are ‘charity-washing’ themselves giving proceeds to the @NSPCC whilst taking actions which @SaveTheChildren and @UNICEF are begging them not to take. 4/5
What can you do to tackle JP Morgan?
If you work there - work to change it, or be a whistleblower like Caroline Dennet recently did with Shell
UPDATE BREAKING NEWS: staff at JPMorgan corporate run wrangle banner from Doctors for XR activists.
🌿The banner may have been taken but the message remains @jpmorgan are charity-washing🌿

JPM are net-terrible for the children of this world despite donating to @NSPCC because they're the world’s leading financier of fossil fuel expansion. Giving away a tiny % of immorally earnt money does not make you a good corporate citizen. #JPMCC 2/4
Would you attend a Corporate run hosted by Exxon Mobil or Gazprom? Many wouldn’t because they know how harmful these companies are. But JP Morgan are arguably just as bad. Their money funds companies expanding the pipelines and planning to drill in the arctic. #JPMCC

It is vital for human health that we get off fossil fuels as soon as possible in a just & fair transition for everyone. Failure to reach 1.5C would mean a 'catastrophic harm to health that will be impossible to reverse' -so said the @NEJM@BMJ@Lancet
