Millions of people play first-person active shooter games like Call of Duty and don’t go on to commit a mass violence event.

Many experience mental health struggles and aren’t violent perpetrators. Instead, they’re more likely to be the victims of crime. 2/
Recycling the same unproven narrative is why there’s been little progress forward - its nothing more than a distraction. It’s time to retire this narrative and focus on addressing the real threats and prevent these tragedies. Focus on what we know, not baseless conjecture. 3/3
