Telling the story of Nigeria's struggle for democracy would be incomplete without reminding everyone that @doyinokupe was the very last man standing with chief M.K.O abiola on the night the men of the Nigerian armed forces, under the command of the late Gen. Sani Abacha, arrested
M.K.O Abiola.
Even though @doyinokupe was a member of the NRC at the time, he was the first to reach across & congratulate the late chief M.K.O Abiola on his victory.
Again, he has demonstrated his deep commitment to Nigeria's democracy, by staying committed to enthroning a
government that would truly emancipate the citizens & serve the country's dire needs.
As he withdraws his name as the running mate on the presidential ticket of the Labour Party today, to allow for the announcement of another running mate that'll demonstrate the party's
commitment to a truly national representation, we say thank you sir, for all you've done, & all you've continued to do.
Your name will be engraved in history, & no tides will ever be strong enough to wash it away.
Happy Sunday my people. You all know I'll never get tired of bringing to your screens, what @PeterObi's 7 years & 6 months as governor of Anambra state means to the people of Anambra.
Since I haven't been feeling well the past week, walk with me 🚶🏾♂️through these screenshots,
as we go on a journey through the 25 years of Anambra's existence in its current geographical form as of 2016, 2 years after the expiration of Peter Obi's tenure.
Having lost most of its development when the state capital Enugu was carved out of the state in 1991, Anambra began
an entirely new journey as a completely rural state, with no airport, no rail network, piss poor road networks, no federal university, no development at all.
Now, read through the following 4 screenshots, to see how far the state has come since then, and the impact @PeterObi

Hello beautiful people. I hope we're all having a beautiful day? I come bearing verifications.
Walk with me🚶🏾♂️⏰
Remember how BATifieds always brag that Tinubu "built" Lagos (we'll revisit that one later) without Federal Govt allocations? Stating that Obasanjo stopped Lagos
Oya gather here cos I've gone to verify that claim, & my finding says that the claim is balderdash.
As seen in these screenshots, the only thing that was stopped was Local govt allocations; & this was because BAT went ahead & created additional 37 LCDA,
In addition to the already existing 20 LCDA, making it 57 LCDA; & Obasanjo insisted that he can only pay allocation to only constitutionally recognised Local Governments.
Also, this wasn't peculiar to Lagos alone. Niger, Katsina, Nasarawa, & Ebonyi states had the same penalty
I didn't think that I'd need to explain this to people who actually went to school; but since so many people have felt the need to call my attention to it to "brag", let me just be as concise as possible.
1) As of 2017 when Peter Obi made those claims, was the investment worth
Let me help you people understand the Peter Obi effect.
In comparison to other governors in Nigeria, Willie Obiano performed excellently well; yet Anambra people kept dragging him.
You know why?
Because he was unfortunate enough to come immediately after Peter Obi,
a man who showed Anambra people what it feels like to have 8 years of exponential growth across all sectors.
Obiano built an airport. He never owed salaries or pensions. In fact, he even increased workers' salaries in Anambra.
Unfortunately, his case with Anambra people,
Is like the case of children who were used to being spoiled by their very wealthy parents, only to lose them & have to live with a relatively rich caring relative.
Peter Obi spoiled Anambra people, & made us understand what governance means.
