If you follow me, you know this guy is a serial liar and Dem Party prop. Here he brazenly lies, again, that 9 people died related to Jan 6. (4 Trump supporters died including Rosanne Boyland, whom Gonell still refuses to explain his handling of her body that afternoon). Now…
he says he was told he can’t work as Capitol cop any more and his wife quit medical school to take care of him? He’s done wall-to-wall media interviews since a few days after the protest, attends committee hearings, and is writing a book.

Hope GOP adds him to list to investigate

I’ve seen a lot of twisted things related to Jan 6 prosecution but I can’t wrap my head around this one:

Tomorrow, Stephen Ayres will publicly “testify” before J6 committee.

Ayres was charged with nonviolent charges in same indictment as Matthew Perna:

Perna committed suicide after learning US Atty Matthew Graves would seek a sentencing enhancement for Matthew’s guilty plea. I explain the tragedy here:

A few months after Matthew hung himself, distraught that he could spend years in prison on an obstruction charge, DOJ made Ayres an offer: he pleaded guilty to one count of disorderly conduct punishable by only up to a year in jail.

Tomorrow Ayres will blame “extremism”…

I just read the new filing and it's as lightweight as you'd expect from this DOJ. Not a lot of new material, lots of reliance on text messages, and the alleged weapons for the QRF is old news. Reminder that this "militia" group left alleged firearms, ammo back in VA hotel room...
After covering the Whitmer fednapping, I am anxious to learn more about these vague "training" exercises. Those events were central to FBI organizing the fednapping plot and collecting evidence:

On the eve of the 18-month anniversary of the so-called "insurrection," let's review what we still do not know:

>Identity of pipe bomber or any related investigation

>Role of FBI including informants and undercover agents embedded in the crowd and in "militia" groups
>Who ordered Capitol and DC Metro police to attack crowd outside with explosives incl flashbangs and other weapons such as rubber bullets, chemical spray, and pepper balls?

>Who gave the order to allow protesters into the building?

>Where's the 14k hours of surveillance video?

Because judges on the DC District court are political actors (from Trump down to Reagan appointees) who don’t care about protecting the rights of J6 defendants. DOJ is running roughshod over the judges and the Constitution. An absolute disgrace.
I could write an entire book just on the bad behavior of DC District Court judges.

Btw if Trump gets indicted, which I believe he will, my guess is his case is assigned to Mehta:

My update on Whitmer fedsurrection. A judge yesterday ordered a new trial for 2 men who received no verdict in the April trial. (2 men were acquitted.)

The new US Atty for Western District of Michigan has recused himself--and defense wants to know why:

Mark Totten, sworn in May 5, was Whitmer's chief counsel for almost 3 years.
"It is hard to imagine that Whitmer and her staff, including Totten, were not at some point in contact with the disgraced agents involved or someone like Steven D’Antuono, head of the FBI Detroit...
field office when the scheme went down who was then promoted to take over the D.C. FBI field office several weeks before the events of January 6."

Totten joins a long list of govt officers removed from the case--including top FBI agents and informants.
