Oh boy…you’re gonna want to sit down for this one. Get comfortable. This is going to require a lot of reading. The pics and links are important. Put your feet up, grab your favorite drink.
This is not a wee thread.🧵👇🏻
On November 16, 2020 an organization called USATransform completed a 990 Tax form. For our purposes, a 990 reports information to the IRS from tax exempt political organizations. Accountants and tax lawyers can clean that up if they’d like.
So what is USATransform? ‘Compelled by the love of Christ, they seek to educate and encourage faith-oriented individuals and organizations to advocate for and advance positive outcomes in the social welfare and public policy arenas.’
For the love of Christ.
Now that SCOTUS essentially ended the separation of church and state, it would be fair to say this ‘political organization’, is pushing hard in the *religious* ‘public policy arena’. It’s as if they are charitably advancing a Christian Nationalist Policy. A CNP if you will.
You may have heard about the Proudboys and the Oathkeepers ‘1776 Returns’ plan. If you’ll recall, there was a deadly insurrection at the Capitol on January 6th, 2021. You may have read about it or seen it on the news. It’s a pretty BFD.
In that 1776 Returns plan, we see that one of the objectives of those groups attacking the Capitol and putting the lives of our lawmakers, federal staffers, employees etc at risk, was to *occupy* certain federal buildings with a minimum of 50 people. (📌1)
On January 4th, 2020 the Capitol Police approved a permit for a group called Women for a Great America / 50+ Days of Blessings. According to their permit, they were there to pray and worship for our nation. This was not the only permit issued to Christians.
But what is different about this particular permit, is that it was approved for multiple days. It allowed the group to be there from Jan 4th *through* the 10th. Obviously, including the 6th. Multiple days? How long were Proudboys and Oathkeepers planning to occupy?
It’s a nice thought though, isn’t it? 50 or so women camping out on the Capitol grounds for a few days in January, praying for our nation? I suppose it would be, but that may not have been the full intent of Women for a Great America.
You see, they didn’t exactly market their presence at the Capitol as being prayerful so much as they called it a ‘Battle Cry for the Republic.’ They were going to be praying alright, but ‘for war for god’s purpose for our nation.’ Who prays for war?
Anti-abortionists, that’s who. I know, my head is spinning too. We’re all over the place here. Stay with me…
Women for a Great America is anti-abortion. They also seem to know a hell of lot
🗣🎙abOUT THE INNER WORKINGS OF THE SUPREME COURT!
Like, how the Justices meet in a private conference the week after a hearing. A hearing like say, oh I don’t know, Dobbs for instance.
Expected? This anti-abortion prayer group had expectations from the Supreme Court regarding the case we now know they used to overturn Roe and take fundamental health rights away from women. Who told them about SCOTUS inner workings?
Waaay back on March 18, 2014, LA Times published an article about a group called United in Purpose. You may know this group already, if not, visit @visionsurreal for the education. Why am I bringing this up from 8 years ago?👇🏻
Did you see how they were partnering with Christian organizers and anti-abortion groups all the way back then? For what, I wonder. Besides of course recruiting 100,000 ‘champions’ to identify, and store in a database, unregistered Christian’s and get them to vote.
If you want to know more about United in Purpose, you’re not alone. I wanted to see who was in charge. Remember just two tweets ago an article where you read the name Bill Dallas? It’s up there👆🏻. Please see highlighted and underlined excerpts below.
You’re going to want to read this👇🏻 entire article from May 2020. Trust me. (I told you this one was going to be intensive) Remember that LA Times article about United in Purpose? Recall the effort to store unregistered Christians in a database?
🗣👂🏻Just for giggles, I looked at some additional 990 tax exemption forms for that USATransform. Like the one mentioned in tweet 3 of this thread. I noticed a familiar name in 2018. The name is William Dallas. Bill Dallas, if you like. UIP = USATransform.
That👆🏻article just above that wee whisper tweet had enough information to choke a Trojan horse. Take a moment to rest your eyes. We have had a lot to process. We’re getting close (like a family)…
Speaking of Trojan horses, I can’t forget trump’s promise.
trump promised a Christian group that he would appoint ‘judges aligned with religious right practices’. Judges like Brett Kavanaugh for example. Do you know who was instrumental in Kavanaugh’s appointment? A guy named Leonard Leo.
Here’s a great article on Leo. Below is the part that truly stood out to me. The highlighted remarks are from a Council for National Policy Board Member. The name might be familiar. It’s Rebecca Hagelin. washingtonpost.com/graphics/2019/…
You may remember her from such tweets as the 3rd one in this thread where she was the Treasurer of USATransform on that 990 tax exemption form in 2020. Or you may remember her from becoming the President of United in Purpose in 2021. Yep. Breathe.
There’s more.
Remember how there was a lot of anti-abortion through this thread? Well, Rebecca Hagelin was also part of something called the Human Coalition. An anti-abortion outfit whose main page opens with this👇🏻
Did you see the part where she wrote a weekly column for The Washington Times? Remember the Moonies cult? They were the ones who mass married a bunch of strangers back in the day. Well, the Washington Times was founded by the leader of the Moonies.
Fun fact: the son of the leader of the Moonies cult (Sean Moon) has his own church called Rod of Iron Ministries. You may have seen it. They worship AR-15s. Oh and he was also present at the Capitol on January 6th. Come back and read this.👇🏻
So let’s recap. Hagelin, the former Vp of the Heritage Foundation, a CNP board member, praised the guy who chooses the Supreme Court Judges, is an avid anti-abortionist who writes columns for a cult leaders paper whose founder’s son worships AR-15s…
…was the president of United in Purpose, did I leave anything out? Oh, right, the treasurer of USATransform which is also United In Purpose. Jesus, Rebecca is busy.
Being a board member of the Council for National Policy seems like an important position. I mean, you’re really close to Leonard Leo and SCOTUS. So close in fact, you can’t get much closer to the Supreme Court, unless you’re a Justice…or married to one.
That’s right kids, Ginni Thomas who was texting Mark Meadows about an insurrection, routinely gave speeches at the Council for National Policy, and she also presents the United in Purpose Impact awards to the likes of Mark Meadows!!
We’re not quite done yet. Remember the Women for a Great America / 50+ days of Blessings prayer group that had the multi day permit for the Capitol over January 6th? They were ‘endorsed’ by a guy named Lou Engle.
Were these Christian groups used for donations and as a Trojan horse on the 6th? Engle is an Intercessor and you need to know what that is. For that head on over to @gal_suburban for the education.
Back when we learned about trump’s promise, there was another sentence highlighted. It had to do with Family Research Council and Tony Perkins. Here is FRC’s Perkins writing about something called ‘the Call.’ And hey look…that’s Lou Engel’s thing.
Anyway, as an Intercessor, Lou Engle is partnered with a group called the Great Awakening Project or the ‘GAP’(📌2). Some groups extol the virtues of a Christian nation by taking over what are known as the 7 mountains. GAP calls them 7 Spheres of Influence.
The 7 Mountains were presented as 7 Culture Lanes to Rebecca Hagelin’s CNP by Ginni Thomas in 2019. Lou Engle ‘endorsed’ the Women for a Great America’s multi day permitted prayer circle at the Capitol when the PB and OK were expected to occupy buildings.
All of this merely shows that for years, the Council for National Policy, its Board Members Leonard Leo, Rebecca Hagelin, its speakers like Ginni Thomas, have worked for the Supreme Court to end women’s rights, and impose Christian will. What’s next?
If we do not wish to live in a white, Christian nation, we had better defeat the republicans in November because there is no GOP, there is now the CNP and you can think of that as either Center for National Policy or Christian Nation Policy because there is no difference.
This has begun to take hold in some States. Perhaps even yours. Confirm you are registered and vote in November. It may be your last chance to have your vote count in an America not yet stolen by Christians who prefer fascism to democracy. vote.org
And finally, I know. Not all Christians; and not all republicans. To you, I ask that you show up to vote. Don’t sit this one out. This is the election to save a democracy. It’s going to feel weird voting for a democrat, but I assure you, the alternative is unthinkably worse.
Thank you to anyone who has read this far. You have my appreciation and gratitude for allowing me to intrude upon your time. I hope the information is useful to you. Please feel free to share it so that we have the largest possible amount of informed voters.
📌1 was about not occupying federal buildings unless there were 50 people. Every permit issued for Jan 6 was for 50 Christians to pray. Each positioned in front of one the buildings identified to occupy in the 1776 Returns plan. Tell reporters.
📌2 was about the Great Awakening Project. Mind the Gap.
Epilogue: I am not the first to make UIP/USATransform connections. Much work has been done by those tagged above as well as @VickerySec@Lynette30067504@kathsstewart and many others. I thank them for all their amazing work and apologize for any inadvertent oversights.
I failed to provide the entire article from LA Times referenced above. Here it is from 2014.
Have you ever seen one of those local news reports where something horrific happens and they interview the shocked neighbor? They’re always like ‘I had no idea.’ Then you say to your tv screen, how could they not know?
This is for you. 🧵👇🏻
We say this because whatever the horrific thing the neighbor did, certainly there had to be signs. How could someone live next door to a person who did such a thing and not recognize the signs? We like to think we would recognize the signs.
But we don’t.
We don’t always recognize the signs because the neighbor is quiet. They keep to themselves. They didn’t talk much, always kept the yard clean, the music down. They even shoveled the walkway that time. They never did anything to you. They’ve always been friendly.
Where do you think they’ll build the camps? I bet the camps will be in Texas or Arizona. It makes sense for them to build camps along the border.
I’m not going to bury the lede here, folks. If you’re reading this in the United States and can vote, you must.
A wee thread🧵👇🏻
Building camps is just the beginning. We no longer have to think about *if* fascism takes hold in America, it already has. 31 Patriot Front members were arrested in Idaho. Most were not from Idaho. These were fascists who answered the call for fascism.
They were charged with conspiracy to riot, but let’s face it, they were there to hate. They wore the same outfit, a uniform so to speak, because they want to be seen as a force. They want to exert their ‘supremacy’. They want to dominate. They want to hate.
Good Saturday morning everyone! On June 9th at 8pm, the @January6thCmte begins a series of public hearings. They will present the case against those who attempted a coup to keep trump in power against the will of the voters.
Let’s meet the team👇🏻
Bennie Thompson is the chairman of the committee. We have heard the committee has been broken down into teams. He’s the captain of the team. But he is also a teacher. I suspect his job will be to make sure the information we receive is digestible. This is super important.
Liz Cheney is the Vice Chair of the committee. She is also a National Security and Foreign affairs expert. She was the Republicans number 3 member in their leadership and can say things like “you know, I know” to other republicans. If needed, of course.
Have you ever seen that show Hoarders? It’s a show where people have a messy house they can hardly move about in. They collect all sorts of things. In a way, the show is framed for the viewer to see garbage. To the hoarder though their mess, their collection, is solace.
🧵👇🏻
Usually there will be a frustrated family member who has told the hoarder to ‘clean up’. Useless advice. They don’t see a mess. They are doing 2 things. Building a layer of protection for themselves and surrounding themselves with things that make them ‘happy’.
I watch this with my mother in law. She provides such a keen insight. One day she asked me, ‘do you know why they hoard?’ I said I didn’t. She told me it’s because they have all suffered a terrible trauma.
The weather is comprised of atmospheric conditions. Those conditions are based on available chemistry. The weather is a byproduct of physics. Probably wrong, what do I know? That’s not the point. But weather is a concept we’ve all experienced.
A wee thought experiment🧵👇🏻
Imagine if you will, you are god. A god that looks like us. I say “us” because we know what we look like, so let’s envision this together. At this moment, for all who are reading and participating, god has just become a he, she, they, them and all the cool things that you are.
Welcome. Now as a species, mere mortal humans have built telescopes that can see as far back as 46 billion light years. This is a very large amount of universe. However the universe is more than they can see. So let’s just say that what humans see is gods, I mean your sandbox.
Good Saturday morning everyone! Another bad week. Are you tired of this yet? We need to understand why this keeps happening. Let’s try.
Here are the top 3 reasons why the GOP won’t allow any action to occur on gun safety laws.
🧵👇🏻
1. The violence serves them. They are stochastic terrorists. How else would they know if their rhetoric was landing without seeing the impacts on the real world? Each tragedy is a barometer for their messaging. Their rhetoric is landing. Their audience is getting younger.
2. The violence serves them. Each time one of these slaughters occurs, they get to sell fear. Fear sells guns. Gun sales fuel the NRA. The NRA donates to Republican candidates who don’t pass laws curbing gun violence which leads to more slaughters which leads to fear, which…
