1/ Yesterday, some Uniswap LPs unfortunately fell for a phishing scam, a problem far too common in crypto today. To be clear: there was no exploit. The Protocol always was — and remains — secure. Here’s what happened.👇
2/ A phisher airdropped malicious tokens to Uniswap LPs’ wallets. The name of the token directed users to a malicious interface that claimed the users could swap these tokens for UNI.
3/ This generated a setApprovalForAll transaction, which, if approved by the user in their wallet, gave the attacker the ability to redeem all of the user’s Uniswap v3 LP tokens for their full underlying value.
4/ This is a good reminder for wallets and other interfaces to be vigilant about hiding spam and tokens with URLs in their name.
5/ Protect yourself from phishing by checking domain names. We operate primarily under the domain uniswap.org. Airdrops that direct you to unofficial domains are likely phishing attempts. We will never airdrop users without notice on multiple official channels.
6/ Attacks like this can happen at any time on any platform, and we encourage you to stay vigilant while interacting with any contract.
7/ If you see something suspicious, please reach out to support@uniswap.org for help. And for official information about the protocol and to get updates from the community, join us in Discord:

1/ The Uniswap Universe is expanding 🦄

In pursuit of our mission to unlock universal ownership and exchange, we’re excited to share that we’ve acquired @geniexyz — the first NFT marketplace aggregator — expanding our products to include both ERC-20s and NFTs 🧞‍♂️
2/ Starting this fall, you’ll be able to buy and sell NFTs directly on the Uniswap web app.

And we’ll integrate NFTs into our developer APIs and widgets, making Uniswap a comprehensive platform for users and builders in web3.

Read the full details 👇
3/ This isn’t our first foray into the world of NFTs. In 2019, we launched Unisocks & later, our work on v3 helped pioneer on chain generative SVGs.

We see NFTs as another form of value in the growing digital economy & it’s a no-brainer for us to integrate them into our products

1/ We were excited to see the community vote to deploy on @0xPolygon in Dec. Since then, users have already saved millions in gas costs. As the community considers future deployments, we wanted to share some thoughts on how we can make each as successful. uniswap.org/blog/multichai…
2/ Today, we are publicly releasing the deployment script and documentation outlining steps to deploy Uniswap Protocol v3 to other chains! (We’ll have developer office hours dedicated to answer technical questions on 1/27) github.com/Uniswap/deploy…
3/ To create a consistent, formal process for the community to introduce and vote on deployments, we are proposing revisions to streamline and simplify the governance process. Looking forward to the discussion on these ideas -> gov.uniswap.org/t/proposed-sim…

1/ Today, we’re excited to announce better pricing with Uniswap v2 support in the Auto Router, Layer 2 support, and real-time gas estimates in the Uniswap App. These changes will help you get the most out of every trade.

2/ All trades in the Uniswap App will now automatically find the best route across both v2 and v3, including gas fees, producing better pricing and a more seamless trading experience.

Get the best price without ever having to switch between versions!
3/ The Auto Router is now available on Optimistic Ethereum and Arbitrum. This will deliver more efficient trades across the Uniswap v3 deployment on these L2 networks.

Better pricing + low gas fees = happy swapping!

🔥 Today we’re excited to launch the Auto Router in the Uniswap Interface

🧠 It delivers better execution prices for traders by splitting routes, using more data, and factoring in gas costs

🔀 Split Routes

The Auto Router can split trades across up to seven routes to take advantage of liquidity in different pools Image

💪 More powerful algorithm

The Auto Router uses a larger data set for more efficient execution, especially on large trades. Image

🎉 Congratulations to the team at @OffchainLabs on the Arbitrum One launch!

📘 With this launch the Uniswap v3 Arbitrum deployment is now open for public use!

Read more here:

⚡️ Arbitrum transactions save users on gas costs and confirm instantly — no more pending or stuck swaps!

🚀 At launch, Arbitrum throughput will be roughly in line with Ethereum L1

⚠️ Please treat this as an early Alpha product!

Arbitrum is a novel scaling solution that requires significant stress testing before it can support economic activity at the scale of L1.

Check the announcement post for details on downtime, withdrawal time, and more.

🔥 Over the past few weeks, we spoke with traders, LPs, devs and other community members to learn about their experience interacting with Uniswap.

We are excited to share our learnings and improvements in the first of a regular series of updates!

🤖 To simplify the process of adding liquidity, the pool UI now auto-selects the fee tier with the most liquidity.

Advanced LPs can manually edit fee tiers, but this improvement should help guide new LPs to the most active markets.

📊 New liquidity distribution visualizations help LPs make more informed decisions when depositing into a pool.

LPs can even modify their range by sliding the min/max boundaries!
