1/ @StarkWareLtd has announced plans to progressively decentralize the #StarkNet protocol through the launch of a token and the StarkNet Foundation.

2/ #StarkNet is a permissionless ZK-Rollup built to scale @ethereum.

It uses STARK validity proofs to verify transactions.

Even though STARK proofs are more computationally intensive, they can be moved off-chain in comparison to SNARKs, which leads to higher scalability.
3/ #StarkNet Alpha launched on a public testnet last year and migrated to mainnet recently.

Transactions for L1 to L2 deposits and L2 to L1 withdrawals have decreased.

This correlates with StarkNet’s fee structure upgrade, now requiring fees for settling on @ethereum. Image

The vast majority of Avalanche applications are deployed on the Contract Chain (C-Chain).

1/ The VPN market has grown exponentially w/ heavy user interest due to possible cyber threats.

Regardless of the advertised privacy and security, users are still required to trust in the centralized third parties behind VPNs.

Let's explore the alternative, Decentralized VPNs.
2/ dVPNs are pretty similar to VPNs, but they do have a few differences:

+Incentivization — node operators earn token rewards for bandwidth
+Pay structures — one-time (Hardware) vs pay-as-you-go (Software)
+Multi-routing — node switching / use different routes and servers
3/ There are numerous dVPN projects all at different stages in the development process with different network architectures, services, features, and reward mechanisms.

However, the biggest differentiator between dVPNs is the type: hardware or software.

1/ @dYdX recently announced it was leaving the @ethereum L2 ecosystem powered by @StarkWareLtd to launch its own @cosmos chain.
