Imao: Mas madali bilang kaming mga nasa sining, mas madaling i-crystallize through individuals who have embodied these traits. Mas madaling maintindihan, mas madaling i-emulate.
Imao: Good leaders have moral ascendancy, can lead the people, and very efficient deliverers of public service. The concept of a governing body is participatory. | via @amayalill
@amayalill Turalde: Tandaan natin 'pag [pinag-uusapan 'yung governance, importanteng bahagi dyan is paano ba ni-re-reinforce 'yung behavior. Kailangan may sistema.
Imao: Ang gobyerno is one form of organization. It was tempered by years of practice...pero ang constant state of flux ay 'yung mga tao na sa kasaysayan ay nag-iiba.
Turalde: Nag-craft kami ng people's 9-point agenda.
Kung gusto mo ng good governance, dapat wise use of resources.
Turalde: People should not be bashed for telling the truth. If we are after good governance, we should not be threatened especially because it is for the welfare of our country and our countrymen. | via @amayalill
@amayalill Imao: [Politicians] should give [citizens] quality leadership that is based on foundation with the respect of law at sa kanilang moral ascendancy. They're boring but these are the kinds of politicians that we need.
It is our safe place to share our ideas, to find out more ideas with kindred spirits. Kailangan pinapaligiran natin ang sarili natin with positive people.
@amayalill Imao: There's so much vitriol online. Go to the places where you think you can have an honest discourse with what's happening in the country.
@amayalill Imao: We need to dismiss the white noise and focus on what needs to be done. The small victories will lead us where we need to go. | via @amayalill
@michelleabad_@jairojourno .@michelleabad_ gives a background on Usapang Diskarte: Noong July 13, 'yung Youtube page ay nag-viral. May mga nag-post sa Twitter who are asking other people to report the profile because he was releasing content that were promoting pedophilia and grooming of children.
@michelleabad_@jairojourno .@michelleabad_: After [nakita namin] nitong mga videos na ito, Rappler got in touch with advocate groups and networks. #RapplerRecap
@reetuquero: I only got into K-pop in 2018. What happened was my best friend...may nadala siyang NCT photobook. She was flipping through the pages and may certain [member] doon na very visually attractive. #HELLO_TO_HALLYU
@reetuquero .@dylanitron: It was back in 2008 [or] 2009. Me and my sister came across a Korean channel. At that time, there was this music show playing Super Junior and Girls' Generation. It was different from the music that I usually hear. #HELLO_TO_HALLYU
Rappler reporter @jairojourno gives a rundown on the points raised by Interior Secretary Benhur Abalos and Justice Secretary Boying Remulla during their joint presser on Thursday, July 21. #RapplerRecap
#RapplerRecap
THREAD on security for Marcos' 1st SONA. 21,000 troops to be deployed, biggest contingent since Aquino and Duterte. Most Aquino had was 10,000, and most Duterte had was 15,000. Another rare move, last seen during Arroyo, was declaring Commonwealth a no-rally zone. | via @lianbuan
@lianbuan PNP says it's not overkill, but just being prepared. Protest leader @natoreyes says this makes them look "very insecure." Political Science prof Francisco Magno tells @jairojourno: “A popular president is not supposed to worry too much about protest since people are on his side."
@lianbuan With Commonwealth no-go, protesters apply – but were denied – permit for Batasan road because 1.) protests would obstruct traffic and 2.) Batasan road is not a freedom park. | via @lianbuan
