The USCCB has asked us to fast and pray with special intentions for the Rosary. (Originally for May 13th, but I’m keeping it in our Rosary & the one on my blog, too).
Jesus said to her, "Woman, why are you weeping? Whom are you looking for?" She thought it was the gardener and said to him, "Sir, if you carried him away, tell me where you laid him, and I will take him."
Artist: Andrea Solario, Bernardino Luini
Jesus said to her, "Mary!" She turned and said to him in Hebrew, "Rabbouni," which means Teacher
Artist: Daniel Seiter or Simone Cantarini
Jesus said to her, “Stop holding on to me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father.
Artist: Gregorio de Ferrari
But go to my brothers and tell them, 'I am going to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.'"
Mary Magdalene went and announced to the disciples, "I have seen the Lord," and then reported what he told her.
Artist: Luca Giordano
“The feast of St. Mary Magdalene is considered one of the most mystical of feasts, and it is said that of all the songs of the saints, that of Mary Magdalene is the sweetest…”
In the Name of the Father,
and of the Son,
and of the Holy Spirit.
Amen.
Precious Blood of Jesus, wash away our sins! St. Mary Magdalene, pray for us!
My Prayer Intentions
- For all friends of the #RosaryProject, our Twitter family, readers and patrons of my blog. Thank you!
Thank You, Lord, for the decision by our Supreme Court to overturn the horrific decision made so many years ago that led to millions of lives lost, hearts broken, consciences darkened, souls crushed. Help us now to END everywhere the culture of death in our world.
- For @Ectobass M. Czechowski’s father & sister. Both are dealing with cancer although neither has spread. Thank you in advance!! St Peregrine & Servant of God Mother Maria Lange, hear our prayers!
- For his father-in-law, Felicia C and John L who are also battling cancer. St Peregrine hear our prayers and carry them quickly to our Lord. (Also from @Ectobass M. Czechowski)
- For @Ken47188750 Son Of Sobieski’s Uncle Joe who passed away the night of June 23. Pray also for his Aunt Eileen, cousins, & their children. Thank You and God Bless you!
- For the peaceful repose of the soul of Elizabeth Madeleine Perrin (neé Toth). (Ken’s mother)
Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her. May her soul and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
- For so many who have asked for prayers or mentioned illnesses, etc., I can't possibly list them all. The Lord knows who they are. We offer prayers for those souls and leave it in the Lord's hands.
- For Fr. S. A., who reached out to me via the blog & asked me and my group for a 54 day rosary novena for his intentions. Well, the only group I have is y’all blog readers and Twitter tweeters, so if you want to join me in doing that, please do.
- For those having serious health problems.
- For those dealing with cancer, treatments, & finances.
- For all seeking new directions in life, & for those having family problems.
Please keep this little boy, James, and all children who suffer from serious illness or disease, in your prayers.
- For my sister, her husband, and their precious Chocolate Lab Zoe who has been ill.
- For Ginnie, recovering well, thank you!
- My BFF whose mother (in her 80s) has serious medical issues & has been in & out of the hospital a lot!
And for friends of the #RosaryProject, our Twitter family, & patrons of my blog. Thank you!
The Rosary proper begins at the top of the hour. I hope you’ll join me.
You are invited to add your intentions anywhere along the thread if you are moved to do so.
God bless you.
In the Name of the Father,
and of the Son,
and of the Holy Spirit.
Amen.
Precious Blood of Jesus, wash away our sins. St. Mary Magdalene, Apostle to the Apostles, pray for us!

Queen of the Most Holy Rosary, you have deigned to come to Fatima to reveal to the three shepherd children there the treasures of grace hidden…
(There’s a place in this prayer for your personal prayer intention.)
(For those who don’t believe, we pray…)
I believe in God,
the Father almighty,
creator of heaven and earth.
And in Jesus Christ,
His only Son, our Lord…
For the Holy Father
Our Father Who art in heaven
Hallowed be Thy Name
Thy kingdom come
Thy will be done
on earth as it is in heaven
Give us this day our daily bread
and forgive us our trespasses
as we forgive those who trespass against us…
For an increase of Faith, Hope, & Charity in our souls & our world
Hail Mary, full of grace.
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women
& blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus…. (3x)
(Glory be, here and at the end of each decade.)
Glory be to the Father,
and to the Son,
and to the Holy Spirit.
As it was in the beginning,
is now, and ever shall be,
world without end. Amen.
We’ll be using some special intentions from the USCCB. These are optional (and they’re similar to the ones we were using from Pope St. John Paul II).
Hail, Holy Queen, Mother of Mercy, Hail, our life, our sweetness, & our hope. To thee do we cry, poor banished children of Eve. To thee do we send up our sighs, mourning & weeping in this valley of tears…

O Mary, you always brighten our path as a sign of salvation and of hope…
