It was clear to everybody present that the board was hoping to be shielded by the special chair that they had brought in and paid for. They were completely unorganized and unprepared for even the simplest of tasks they were charged with such as voting.
3
They're apparently hadn't been any kind of a dry run to find out that the online viewers had no way to vote. It's absolutely unconscionable that people had to pay money for this s*** show. I'm not 100% sure who was on the AGM committee but I do know that @r_northey
4
was the chair. So that also tells me that he was fine with absolutely zero reports coming out ahead of time, or even doing the bare minimum of having copies printed to be handed out to membership as we arrived. This seemed to catch them all off guard.
5
They also seem to be surprised that when the chair wanted us as members to vote our approval of the agenda without physical copies of any reports that were required, it was voted down. The reports required are the Leaders, Presidents, and CFO, for 2 calender years.
6
Given all the crap that has gone on lately, you'd think there would be copies presented. Instead, the chair was trying to find a compromise which was to have them emailed to us after the meeting. The immediate question was why in the hell weren't they sent prior to the meeting.
7
The chair himself seem to be a bit flustered as to the reasoning why none of this had happened prior to the meeting, even calling it unusual but can happen. At this point I think even the chair realized he was being a useful idiot to these 10 as he continued to take sidebars
8
trying to understand what the board had and hadn't done leading to the meeting. He lost control of the room and eventually walked out along with the board. As there was no motion from the floor to adjourn we selected a new chair and continued the meeting. A motion of
9
Non-confidence was called from the floor to the board was seconded and then voted on. The vote passed with an overwhelming majority and then the task of having to vote on a brand new board was initiated. I'd like to point out here that this vote
10
actually follows our bylaws as our founding AGM all positions are voted on by membership. The president the CFO the VP policy and governance the VP of membership and one Governor at Large will now serve a two-year term. The top regional director receiving the most votes
11
in their region also serve a two-year term. All other board positions are subject to one year terms. The previous board seemed to believe that they had a two-year term to serve which they did not, as membership at the last AGM did not vote them in, in their position.
12
They were operating under the previous FCP bylaws when the last board was elected. At no time at the last AGM was there a motion to grandfather that board to adopt our new bylaws.
13 @Cameron_Parke
Looks like they updated the website and Wes and Sandra are no longer there. I'm guessing they quit. Looks like the board elected leader feels he's still the leader. It's funny that he couldn't make it to the AGM yesterday? Which was probably for the best.
14
So it looks like Rick still has a couple useful idiots that are willing to lose everything. As to now being thrown out in disgrace, if this goes to the courts, I guess they're all willing to pay out of pocket. They saw how quickly $70, 000.00 gets eaten up by a
15
lawyer, and with them having absolutely no way to fundraise, as absolutely nobody is giving them money now, they've got a long road ahead. Or a simple decision to hand over everything to the newly elected board. @DannyHozack@originalkmiller@raabertd
What's even funnier is Amit Batra's position on the board was up. He had a one year term. He came in second place for Edmonton regional director. Steve Goodman did not put his name forward for reelection. So the "board" has 6 members. Not a legal board.

the stealing and illegal downloading of WIPA'S membership list? If not, why did the former VP of membership name you as one of the co-conspirators with him? Why was it common knowledge that a Northey led board last year was blaming you and sent membership this email
