You can (and should expect) to lose every real dollar that you move into crypto. This is the wild west.
(3/15) Yesterday I went to sleep in the Istanbul airport hotel expecting to win Golden Ticket #2, only to wake up to the sad news that I had been scooped.
Hats off to ArtDude69🥂! Congrats on your win, I hope you reach out to @DgenFren and use it ASAP!
(4/15) To cut to the chase, Greedy Memes are just simple NFTs with art that I particularly like. I consider a huge part of my work to be "note taking for future historians after De-Fi takes over the world."
What's not to like about bringing some of the characters to life?
(5/15) (for me) Once the art is finished and @DgenFren posts the NFT on-chain, the magic is kind of finished. I'm not that interested in "owning" an image that I can just copy/paste for free.
What is SUPER interesting to me is the Golden Ticket NFT that I bid on.
(6/15) Bullet points:
- Gold ticket: redeemable for one custom Greedy Meme
- Meme must be of a single entity or individual
- The artist reserves the right to refuse any request
- When the meme is created, the NFT will be sent to redeemer
- Can be sold (but only redeemed once)
(7/15) If I won? So many choices that I want to see as Greedy Memes!!! Maybe:
(8/15) The bottom line is that I wanted to support @DgenFren and to make sure he keeps pumping out more Greedy Memes (which I will then use in my content).
This isn't about one character, this is about finding a way to deploy capital to generate the art I liked.
(9/15) Before I made my bid, I reached out and asked a question. The answer made me certain I was going to place a bid.
With The Golden Ticket, @DgenFren is experimenting with a novel patronage system. He is deploying NFT technology to invent an entirely novel business model.
(10/15) Just reread his answer if you are confused, the ideal is simple... and it's genius.
Not only does it allow the artist to see market demand in real time, but s/he can also collect prepayment AND benefit in secondary sales as the collection becomes more popular.
(11/15) The best part is that the artist controls exactly how much work s/he is obligated to do in the future.
Too many outstanding Golden Tickets? Just stop selling them.
Risks? I don't know, but they are definitely there, for all parties (NFA).
(12/15) I've said it before, I'll say it again: I am a De-Fi zealot! I believe @ethereum is inevitable and De-Fi is simply a better way.
In my narrow area of focus (finance) the answer is so obvious. But The World Computer is so much more than De-Fi.
(13/15) I've heard @kevinrose say something to the effect of "all it takes is one thing for NFTs to click for you and then you'll understand just how big a deal they are. Immediately!"
Well... I still don't understand PFPs, but I now understand the unlimited power of NFTs.
(14/15) Thank you @DgenFren, both for your art and for the incredible idea you are trying out.
Good luck! I hope you keep pumping out Greedy Memes!
(15/15) 🏳🏳🏳
For the record I understand the vaguely anti-Semitic undertones. Apologies if anyone doesn't like the art, no offense intended.
Again, I just like the cartoons of the people I write about. I make my own graphics, these kinds of assets would be a huge deal.

(1/5) We know $crvUSD will have huge liquidity, be over collateralized and will (probably) have senior status in the @CurveFinance ecosystem (reduced/subsidized swap fees, boosted LP emissions)
(3/25) First and most importantly, we must recognize that the nature of innovation and progress is messy. While you’re experiencing it, it’s easy to feel like everything is awful
Nevertheless, it’s important to examine what’s working and what’s not as we build towards the future
(3/9) Although we perceive @ethereum very differently compared to our laptop, the computing environment the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) provides is capable of providing the same functionality as any computer.
