There are 4 claims: 1. Victimisation by GCC (did they subject her to detriments after she did a series of protected acts?)
2. Direct discrimination by GCC (did they treat her less favourably because of her beliefs on sex, gender & Stonewall & is the belief covered by S10 Eq A?)
3. Indirect discrimination by GCC (did they apply a policy, criterion or practice in relation by treating GC beliefs as bigoted & involving Stonewall that indirectly disadvantaged women and/or lesbians)?
.@Nike advert in the Guardian today "Everybody has the right to run"
Remember: the Court of Arbitration for Sport has upheld DSD regulations as a necessary, reasonable & proportionate means of achieving the legitimate objective of ensuring fair competition in female athletics
"I am a woman and I am fast. I worked. I trained I dedicated my entire life to running. That's what make me good"
Really Nike, really?
What the advert does not say...
The DSD regulations apply to people with
- XY chromosomes
- testes not ovaries
- testosterone in the male range
- the ability to make use of testosterone
This from @Girlguiding is such dangerous, reality-defying nonsense
"My husband and I are lucky enough to be parents of a seven-year-old girl, Rainbow... she is the same, except when she was born, we assumed she was a boy."
At 18m Rainbow identified more w female characters, toys and book ‘Some ppl suggested we just say no, encourage her to identify w male characters, but how can u explain that to a young child? To what end? No to playing w toys she loved or characters she loved to pretend to be?'
So instead tell the child they *are* a girl. 🙄
How can you explain that to a child - "when you grow up you will develop the body of a man, because you are male...unless we put you on powerful experimental drugs that will stop you body and brain developing....
"we have to ...aggressively combat the hate and the ignorance that is bandied around, whether it’s in the media or whether it’s other campaign groups that are spreading falsehoods. "
There is no legal requirement for separate sex toilets
But workplace regs, practicality and Building Code M - means that in high traffic, larger buildings the standard solution is something along this lines.
Separate sex toilets w stalls including accessible and enlarged ones, washbasins outside for speed of use. Gaps top and bottom for safety and ease of cleaning.
Plus urinals in the mens, again for hygiene and speed.
Designers know that toilets invite trouble and they design for that in their angles
You shouldn't be able to see in from the main door to cubicle doors.
The women's loo are at the end of the corridor, so that men have no excuse to be anywhere near.
