Having great fun with my timeline right now trying to guess which exasperated commentary is for the Tory leadership debate and which is for #LoveIsland
"You can tell despite the smiling that they actually hate each other"
That's a tough one.
"So he basically just admitted he cheated and lied"
Again, could be either.
"He's clearly got a problem being challenged by women"
Actually, this is a much tougher game than I thought.

So UK folk getting excited about having Eurovision here, there's something I need to make very clear to you very early on.
You probably won't get tickets.
But that doesn't mean you can't still join the party! Let me explain:
The Eurovision Final, the show on the Saturday evening that you all watch, is already very difficult to get tickets for. In all my years as a fan and journalist I've only attended it once, in Kyiv in 2017 when relatively few people attended the contest, reluctant to go to Ukraine
The televised Grand Final is also by a long shot the most expensive, with even the cheap seat tickets usually going for hundreds of euros. But! This is not the only show by a long shot, even though many people assume it is and travel just for it. There are *eight* others.
I know the Tories are desperate for more scapegoats but going full sinophobia isn't even a pragmatic choice, aye sure let's cut all ties and understanding with the rising global superpower whose exports we depend on, when we're already economically on fire, what a great decision.
Another sign of government utter ideological bankruptcy that we're doing a Yellow Peril in 2022, and one that we lifted wholesale from US Republicans anyway. Downright depressing this is even so much as treated as credible politics let alone celebrated.
Government saw anti-asian hate crimes go up in the early months of covid and took notes, apparently.
Bonne matin from the furthest outskirts of metropolitan Paris. We've just passed Charles de Gaulle Airport and are making good progress through the outermost suburbs. #TEE4
I slept surprisingly well for one of these overnight buses, only really waking up twice since Calais, once at Arras where the driver took a pit stop, and once at the bright lights of a series of toll gates. Would probably still be sleeping if we weren't already at Paris.
The overcast skies and dawn light combine to make Paris' tower blocks feel especially moody as we progress into the city centre, very rapidly compared to how long it took for us to leave London yesterday.
