In last 5 FYs, highest no. of PDs possible is mere 54. Even in 20-21, when pandemic led to soaring #MGNREGA demand and revised budget was highest ever,avg was 49 days of work

Weekly Inforgraphic (3/7): FY 22-23 में राज्यों की न्यूनतम मजदूरी और मनरेगा मजदूरी दरों की तुलना करता है | अधिकांश राज्यों में, मनरेगा मजदूरी न्यूनतम कृषि मजदूरी से काफ़ी कम है और अंतर UP में सबसे ज्यादा है - Rs.154।

केरल राज्य अलग है क्योंकि वह स्वयं न्यूनतम मजदूरी और मनरेगा मजदूरी के बीच के अंतर को भरता है।

Infographic week (3/7): Currently, nearly 2500crores are pending in wage liabilities in FY21-22 & FY22-23. The MoRD owes workers crores more in compensation - some states have crores in wages pending from the previous FY.

Why must workers suffer? @MoRD_GoI must clear the dues immediately & pay compensation to each worker!

Infographics Week 5/7: 52.75% of NREGA budget has already been spent & Rs.12,740cr are due. This means only Rs.21,754cr (30%) of the budget is left with 8 months left in the FY. #NREGA needs immediate addnl allocation of Rs 1lakh cr to ensure the right to work.

NREGA budget as a share of govt expenditure has been decreasing since the pandemic year even though rural reliance on NREGA holds strong. The ratio is the lowest this FY. NREGA campaigns have been demanding at least 3% of budget share.

इस साल के नरेगा बजट का 52.75% खर्च हो चुका है और अभी भी Rs.12,740 करोड़ बकाया है. अब बजट का केवल Rs.21,754 करोड़ बचा है वित्त वर्ष के बाकी 8 महीनों के लिए. NREGA के तहत काम के अधिकार के समर्थन के लिए तुरंत 1 लाख करोड़ के अतिरीकिट आवंटन की गंभीर आवश्यकता है.

Info week 6/7: What are the priorities of the govt.? Comparing NREGA budget as % of GDP and tax incentives given to corporates as % of GDP it is clear the NREGA budget is consistently decreasing and corp. tax incentives have remained important.

Corp tax figures are available only till FY 20-21, but even these are likely to downplay actual revenue forgone. Why does the govt. prioritise rich corporates over the lakhs of rural labourers who benefit from NREGA?
