Indiana legislators are putting the health and safety of Hoosier women at risk, and again surrendering to the demands of a small group of anti-abortion extremists.

If anyone had doubts that the end goal is an all-out ban on abortion, today’s amendments to SB 1 made that clear.
The few exceptions that had been included in SB 1 were essentially stripped, ignoring the opinion of the majority of Hoosiers who believe individuals should have the freedom to decide if and when to have children. #BansOffIndiana #INLegis
From its very inception, the Indiana Constitution has contained the right to privacy, implicit in this right is the right for a woman and her doctor to make medical decisions regarding reproductive health.
Whether members of the Indiana General Assembly personally agree with abortion access or not, it is not up to the government to make these decisions for Hoosiers.

Indiana legislators need to put a stop to SB 1.
ACT NOW: SB 1 is on its way to the full Indiana Senate, where it is set to be debated later this week.

Indiana's special legislative session is underway, and banning abortion is on the table.

Here’s what you need to know. 🧵
Legislators are convening today to begin hearings on Senate Bill 1 — a cruel, dangerous bill that would ban abortion in Indiana, forcing Hoosiers to carry a pregnancy against their will.
The Indiana legislature is the first in the country to convene for a special session following the Supreme Court’s overturning of Roe v. Wade, which gave state legislators the green light to restrict abortion access.

Banning abortion puts Hoosiers’ health and safety at risk.
